I’m on my highschool team, and for our last tournament a team from a nearby town was hitting double tandems. It was so hard to read too. We lost by like 10 points lol.

I’ve never watched a game of volley ball before. I’m so glad that haikyu doesn’t over exaggerate anything too much. I wasn’t sure what to expect. This is sick

Yeah it’s funny what you hear in Haikyuu is not at all what players say in real life. Instead of “chance ball” it’s “free ball”, instead of “nice kill” it’s “YYYEEEEEAaAUUUGGGHHHH!!!!!” Or something along the lines of that. We do say nice serve tho

@@juns5979 It's not as cool as it sounds, because I'm short, I need to use as much strength as possible in my leg to achieve what a tall person would achieve with an average jump. In short, I'm dead in the second set.

It's not just about being tall It's about experience in playing it and what it takes for you to get it Man i miss being in the court

when i was 14 yrs old i used to think that volley is for girls, after watching haikyuu i love volley is my favourite sport, im still 14 ;/ Update : now im 16 and i play for the team of my school , we won all the regional tournments , but im getting old fast update : im now almost 18 yrs old , we lost for a team by 1 point , and thats about all , we are preparing for the next camps, i am indeed getting old fast.

@@tonythetiger5029 The Setter usually sets faster for the middle blockers and the other front row hitters. They just wait a second longer to set the back row, or they'll give it a bit more height for the person hitting back row.

Siikais YT you’re meant to ask for the pass every time you’re in position, or else it’s super obvious who each pass is going to and the other teams blockers will cover them

this play at 2:24 is so good the way he evaluated the situation and switches to his left hand is very good lmao

All the Haikyu comments aside, it’s really interesting to see the sport played from the player’s perspective, especially for someone who hasn’t played volleyball. I kinda wanna see this in all kinds of other sports, getting a glimpse of what it’s like to do the warmup routines, the exercises and the actual game itself.

@@timothysmith6150 Volleyball in Japan is very different to Volleyball in the US. In Japan, they take high school volleyball clubs very seriously. In the US, sure it can be like that sometimes but it’s rare
