The only song she NEVER managed to give justice live in contrast to all other songs that her live performance was BETTER than studio. I'm your baby tonight is her hardest song to sing definitely. Also not on the list is You give good love, which is amazing and also very tough to sing.

One of the things that made Whitney SO uniquely gifted that MOST singers could never deliver on was her diction. Whitney sung with such clarity. Her enunciation of words were SO incredibly clear that you understand EVERY word she's saying. For someone who doesn't just get caught up in the beat but enjoys/wants to know a song's message, Whitney NEVER disappointed.

I sung "I Will Always Love You" and "I Have Nothing" at drunk Karaoke. People loved it despite me sounding like a group of dying cats.

I love that they included a deep cut. Miracle from the IYBT album is SUPER underrated. It's almost as intense as I Will Always Love You. I'm also glad they spilled about I Have Nothing being the tough cookie of the Bodyguard soundtrack.

The writer/produce of Run To You said that when Whitney showed up to record the song she couldn’t even speak. Then she opened her mouth and sung so beautifully. That’s a god given talent that can’t be taught.

Thank you for this comment. I’ve always said those 2 albums Whitney was doing riffs and runs quicker than she ever did before. It’s like whereas she did lose some range, that made the other golden elements of her voice shine through even more

When I saw I will always love you at #2, I thought that was an outrageous take but yeah I Have Nothing?! Yeah, it deserves the #1 spot. "All the man that i need"- takes you to a magic trip with her voice...such softness, passion , strength , vulnerability in her voice , melisma. And that closing... 1. "The Star Spangled Banner" - it's the absolute perfection ! Period !

Whitney is THE VOICE, the greatest female voice ever. No one not a single soul can do what Whitney did on a record but then to surpass the record when performing it live.. Her voice can be like a soft summer breeze and on a dime become a this massive hurricane. Her annunciation and runs were un paralleled.. Barbara is great, Celine is talented, Mariah is incredible, Aretha is soulful but Whitney was something else entirely!!!

Thanks for bringing up her Xmas album. It's many cuts on that album that are her hardest songs to sing. Ppl can say a lot about her 2000s voice but that voice was still moving and most wouldn't be able to cover her 2000s songs. 😅😅❤

A lot of Whitney's live performances appeared harder than the recorded songs in studio: I Have Nothing was an example as she could sing it on a higher key than the one in studio. The list does not mention Miracle, or Until You Come Back, who are both definitely difficult to perform. In my opinion, Whitney's hardest songs are Miracle, You're Still My Man and Didn't We Almost Have It All (my favourite). Thank you for sharing that interesting video.

Exactly.. People think that only high belts make a song difficult. Didn't We Almost Have It All is a super hard song to sing because of the vocal gymnastics and stamina needed to sing it. Whitney was a vocal athlete.

You left out Saving All My Love For You. Those high notes at the end are impossible! But I agree with I Have Nothing and Run To You at the top. If I try to sing those in the shower by the end my voice is creaking and my ears are popping. 😂

Run To You is actually way harder to sing than I Have Nothing. The latter gets recognized more as a difficult song because of the dramatic key change before the final chorus. However, Run To You requires consistently difficult sustained high notes all throughout the song, as well as complex melismas and runs absent from I Have Nothing. I would have rated her most difficult songs this way: 1) Didn’t We Almost Have It All 2) Run To You 3) All The Man That I Need 4) I Have Nothing 5) I Will Always Love You 6) One Moment In Time 7) I’m Your Baby Tonight 8) The Greatest Love Of All 9) I’m Every Woman 10) So Emotional

Miracle is not easy to do either constantly jumping from different textures from mixed voice, natural, full chest voice and her natural was really high and the breath control, vibrato and if you don't know what you are doing it can leave you with temporary vocal paralysis because the voice is tired.

I sort of figured I Have Nothing or I Will always Love You would either take the top spot because they are really hard to sing. She was such a talented and beautiful singer like nobody now had her range or her good pipes ❤️❤️ that’s why you need to have a really great voice to sing one of her songs.

So Emotional is my favorite Whitney song.
