The hardest one to 5 star for me was Before I Forget on Expert. That bridge section with the alternating chords was seriously the toughest thing in any of the games for me. Granted, GH3 was the first game I played so I was still getting used to it, but I was definitely a guitar hero nerd back in its heyday. Played every single game and 5 stared all the songs on expert. Before I forget is still the one that I spent the most time trying to figure out. My hand still cramps just watching the video again haha.

Beat devil went down to Georgia with relative ease. Through the fire and the flames and Jordan are the only 2 songs I never managed to beat in the first 4 gh games. I guess it comes down to what techniques you're comfortable with.

Well obviously they are all way harder than Hangar 18 and Surfing with the Alien since those lag way behind everything else here, but once you add Sudden Death and Holy Wars none of the others quite outpace One just because when you're in the skill range where whether you can pass any of these is an open question, Fast Solo A will kill you 99/100 times.

I played guitar hero once at a friend's house for like 15 minutes... so I'm basically an expert

Having Full Combo'd One, Flames, Raining Blood, Jordan, and Hangar 18...I have to say, Jordan gave me the most trouble in regards to a pass, with Devil being a close second. Either way, pretty solid list!

Honestly, mate, I always click on "top 10" videos expecting to be flat out disappointed. But not only you and I are on the same page about the top four (especially about Jordan), but you also addressed the one issue I have regarding having to play Jordan, which is the GH2 engine. 👍👍👍 Literally the only song on this list I *never* managed to pass, and I played all the GH songs on both the guitar *AND* the PS2 controller *until it was possible* (which was from GH to GH3, because from GH:WT on, the controller would only set mic options, so I was forced to purchase a guitar to continue playing the later titles).

The best thing about Guitar Hero is that the insane hard guitar parts are not too hard on actual guitar.

Shannon, I destroyed dimension 63 thinking you were on it.... But I must say your videos have gotten better. Good job.

Ragna The Bloodedge they wouldn’t. They are hard don’t get me wrong but as I said Any deadshadow Uber custom before 2017 are way harder. The soulless series isn’t even exiles hardest songs. Obsidian quartz river 240bpm and the 2 hour song he made are way harder.

Agreed. Jordan and tfatf were the only songs from the main setlists in gh 1-4 I was never able to beat on expert. The games got boring after that for me. Crazy fun while it lasted though.

Musa Butler What the hell changed? New guns? New equipment? New characters and dances? That doesn’t increase replay value. That’s just throwing in random shit and saying the entire game changed. It’s still the same boring (in my opinion) game that’s slowly dying if it hasn’t died already. And not to mention the Fortnite/KZread tragedy.

been playing guitar hero and clone hero on PC for 2 years now. when you see this video and know you can beat these songs, you know you've made it far.

I agree about through the fire and flames. People will always say it’s hardest but the beginning is just absolutely insane and most people fail right there. The rest of the song isn’t as hard as that. While the solos are very difficult I agree with your placing it at 3

A bit late but that fury of the storm is outdated af and the one that comes to mind for me is the warriors of rock chart, which includes trills instead of ascending trips. Hope that helped!

tl;dr: Good idea, shit game in reality. Play Clone Hero on PC, get an Xbox 360 dongle, and go wild. Guitar Hero: Live, as a concept, was great, it was a new challenge for people who had already played and mastered the 5 fret format, and wanted to try something with slightly more realism, the 3-fret, 2-row format. The way FreeStyle Games made it, with the Microtransaction system in GH:TV, and the very limited (and rather shit, might I add) on-disc setlist, and the constant crashes, and the fact that Ubisoft bought FSG (the developers, FreeStyle Games) and renamed them Ubisoft Leamington (after the English spa town of Royal Leamington Spa, in which they are based), and then there was the whole problem with Activision not actually assigning the project to any of their dev teams, but I digress. With the growth in popularity of Clone Hero at the moment, that's all we have left now that the servers are going. Just hoping the songs can be recreated before they go forever.
