the way he looks is such a sweet and well-directed movie. love the acting too very realistic and well done.

Maurice is unrealistically underrated. It is so much better than CMBYN for lots of reasons. Don't get me wrong, CMBYN is good but Maurice!!? IT'S TOP TIER. I recommend watching it, and if you're a book reader you will very much enjoy it.b

I didn't personally think it was great but maybe it's because it just was no where near Brokeback mountain

Brokeback and Call me are, by far, the best. Both explain exactly what happens inside a human being when you fall in love with someone, in the case of Brokeback in a rough environment and in the case of Call me in a free environment. Both have been shoot by outstanding directors and bear the hallmark of great cinema.

the TRUE underrated film here is the The Way He Looks! I loved it when I was a teenager and still love it now. The story is not that deep but everything else is just... PERFECT.

Gosh.....call me by your name, I'm just so into this movie and yeah brokeback mountain is good too. Infact all of them are really good including love simon,love victor, heart stopper,my best friend,young hunter but call me by your name is probably an intense and most emotional movie I've ever watched.❤️❤️

I can recommend "Firebird". Amazing movie that based on a true story.

I can't believe there's no mention of Beautiful Thing. Easily one of top 5 best gay movies. Much recommended!

@@sky__love I think it's a good movie, but I was less a fond of the part at the end when Elio is weeping and the part where they call each other by their own names. I found these scenes too excessive and kitschy. I probably couldn't get attached to the two main characters and the story itself. I really liked the conversation between Elio and his father at the end of the movie.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HOLDING THE MAN! IT IS ONE OF THE THE MOST MOVING AND HEARTWRENCHING FILMS I HAVE EVER WATCHED

I've not seen all of those films, but I have seen most of them. I think it's hard to rank them, because they are quite different from each other. But I would say that Call Me By Your Name is an excellent movie. And Brokeback Mountain is iconic at this point. So, I guess I'd say not that I agree, but that I don't disagree. 🙂

The placed ‘Moonlight’ as an Honourable Mention? That blows my mind, although I’m not sure which film I’d bump off the top ten for it. Also, where was ‘Beautiful Thing’?

Retake (2016) is the best gay romance movie ever! better than any of these lists, if u hvnt watchd it yet then u miss out on something. Highly recommend it!!!

I've actually seen a majority of the films on this list! Supernova (not included on this list, and also starring Colin Firth & Stanley Tucci) was also a great film with a really touching story.

i love free fall so much. its been 5 years, and there is no update for the second movie of free fall.

ikr same but for some reason almost all gay movies end up badly or dramatic, but in from the side reminded me of how the real world is, this is exactly how it is, it just felt when i was young in the club and all the staring with the one guy you like the looks with eyes and the nervousness of what to do when someone looks at you like a real male, making his presence noticable hehe@@badboy-kr6dq also the protagonists is very appealing to me, compared to other gay movies where the protagonist are not only "not good looking" but un-insterested as well, idk I connected 100% with that movie! best i have seen so far for years since queer as folk lol

This is a very good list of recommendations -- EXCEPT FOR HAWAII which I HATED. My FAVORITES on your list are (1) The Man With The Answers and (2) Boys (Jongens) Ryan Vigilant who stars in Naked As We Came is such a Beautiful Guy ! I also greatly enjoyed Centre Of My World and Gewoon Vrienden (Just Friends). ENJOY !

I'd suggest a Danish one: BROTHERHOOD, outstanding rollercoaster of situations.

I always love the ones in foreign languages like french, Spanish, Sweedish etc .
