You know with the top tens recently it seems like they just think of a general theme release all the videos in that theme at once. Which it was spread out to keep variety

There is a VERY busted combo with Heart of the Underdog where you activate Reload as soon as you would no longer draw more cards. This will make you redraw ALL the cards in your hand, and immediately trigger another round of HotU. If you have more than one of both spell cards, it's pretty easy to draw your whole deck. However, this still means most of your deck is basically bricks, so while it's absolutely busted for card advantage, you better have a reason for diamond-handing your entire deck ^.^

Maybe combo it with Law of the normal? If you pulled it off you could have a whole board while they have an empty hand and have a massive amount of normal monsters. Though, still having any non monster cards will make Underdog less consistent, but it could be interesting to try.

The berserker soul is a good card if you’re running a deck with no other spell cars but itself

Masked Hero Dark Law would be in the Top 3, it was literally a vanilla Fusion in the manga.

Another card that fits this category is Afterglow, but it probably didn't make the list for sucking too much.

Love how a lot of these are Yami Yugi themed cards because he can cheat whatever he wants while no one else can use the cards. Believe in the heart of the cards!

@@uuh4yj43 no they weren’t, the only relevance they ever had outside of their extra deck monsters (just like ice barriers) was naturia Runick, and that wasn’t even close to anything pure plus it was all thanks to legacy support. The archetype has so many cards but they’re all pretty lackluster

Lullaby of Obedience probably could have made it on this list.

Honestly incredibly underrated card, even though it's so nerfed by requiring info from your opponent. Been tempted to run it on master duel, calling Maxx C. Practically guaranteed.

It's probably the best especially in tier 1-0 format. In tcg ppl using it to get snake eyes cards since mirror match is alot more common in there than it is in ocg

It saw plenty of play in Spright. Calling Maxx C is a win for the deck regardless of which decision they make, and virtually everyone runs the card at 3.

I liked lullaby a lot. I locked myself to specific restrictions (such as Spright 2 Lock or Cyberse Lock) to fetch myself Ash Blossom or Maxx C. Additionally, during the Fenrir running rampant back then, open Lullaby and call Fenrir is nice.

I once nabbed my opponent's DMoC using Conscription! They surrendered right after.

I know it's still not useful realistically, but there are cards that exist that spin cards to the top of your opponent's deck like Raiza the Storm Monarch. So Conscription isn't INHERENTLY risky. I mean...still difficult to use that way and not good, but y'know.

Back in the days, I used Ante *A LOT.* It was unexpectedly useful to throw random hand destruction with stuff like Barbaros and Tragoedia.

Heart of the underdog is the most used card in GX Tag Force 1 to abuse it in exodia turbo deck.

I use Ante a lot in my decks that feature high-level monsters like Machine, Rock, and Dragon-type decks.

8 y/o me running Conscription with Convulsion of Nature because I thought it was the most busted combo in the game.

Made all the extra Berserker Soul attacks made you spend a Spell Counter (So you can avoid having to keep the spell counters max. to 1, because the Spell/Trap and attack effects are competing for the same pool of resources)? I could even take off the limit of 7 since the spell counters would be the limit instead.

@@MysticKenji2 Here, let me bounce a potential errata off of you, tell me how you like it: _If this card is summoned, or if your opponent activates a card or effect; Place 1 Spell Counter on it. Gains 300 ATK/DEF for each Spell Counter on it. You can remove 1 Spell Counter from this card, then target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; destroy that target. If this card attacks and Inflicts battle damage to your opponent, you can remove 1 Spell counter from this card; It can attack again in a row._ So basically this can turn the card into a battle related Diet-“MAXX “C””, where if they spam too many Card/Effect activations, and you’re able to protect Breaker until the battle phase, The Berserker Warrior would be able to dish out a potentially _ruinous_ amount of battle damage, and/or absolutely smash up your opponent’s monsters. Meanwhile tying it to it’s Spell Counters A: Is more in character for Breaker himself, B: Makes his user need to decide white either save the Spell counters for destroying Spells/Traps or to MAIM-KILL-BURN in battle, and C: It stops the card from being a self-milling machine at the same time it’s being a killing machine.

I still play my old app of Duel Generations when I’m just having fun on my phone. I’ve pulled off an exchange on ZONE’s Final Countdown deck before and activated Final Countdown before he could. Since his whole strategy is nothing but stalling, he computer can’t do anything but flounder. It’s great fun.

Legacy of the Duelist has a fun deck in its Arc-V story where it's a Metalfoes deck running Heart of the Underdog.

I had the Anti card as a kid. It was really fun to play in casual duels

I'd love to see you rank the best/worst cards that feature other real cards in their artwork. Things like Exchange, Card Destruction and Three of a Kind.

With Berserker Soul Atem was technically following the rules as they were at the time as the rules at the time dictated that you had to keep going regardless of whether or not you opponent's LP hit 0.

The very first print of Exchange mentions that the cards that are exchanged, when going to the graveyard, go the the graveyard of the original owner.

Allure of Darkness kind of counts, since it's only a gamble if you don't have a dark monster in hand when you use it, or the only dark monster in hand is a critical engine piece. The draw 2 is great, but you could wind up banishing an engine piece (Blackwing Simoon), or fizzling completely and having to ditch your hand

It's the only way I play Igknights in DL. Grandpa's Cards plus 3 HotU and the rest are Igknights.

I think "Monster Slots" should have been on there. It can only be used in decks with a lot of monsters of the same level, which you need 1 on the field and 1 in the graveyard to activate, but it's an upstart goblin when you lose, and a special summon from deck when you win, which I think beats a few other cards on this list.

I’ve heard the best counter for reasoning (aside from using shifter) is to declare level 1

i remember using Reversal Quiz deck in Tag Force Games for PSP to quickly farm heart points since handicapped duels put you at 100 LP and your opponent at 16000.

I feel like number one should be Brilliant Fusion, as a representative for "every powerful spell that requires you to put Garnets into your deck"

I was always a fan of Reasoning. I ran a Fortune Lady deck and currently run Witchcrafters, so the level is actually a tough choice for them. And WCs really like having their spells milled for free.

Theres a shot on iphone meme video from 3 years back where a guy plays Pot of Extravagance on turn 1 and banishes 6, only for the 6 banished cards to be ALL the copies of his dragonmaid fusion monsters (3 House, 3 sheou) Then the 2 cards he drew were both Pot of Extravagance.

Surprised that Reasoning didn't make the list. It's probably one of the most played gamble cards in the game's history

Imagine an archetype that allows you to rearrange either player's top deck. Might use some of these cards.

The greatest power of Exchange is that your opponent will sometimes forget you have their card and you get to keep it.

Honestly, Reasoning and Monster Gate should have been at the top of this.

I'm pretty liberal with what I consider gamble cards, but even I think that calling Desires and Exchange gamble cards is a stretch. I would have gone with Dangers and Spyrals as the top two spots instead.

Awesome list idea, and pretty great that our lists wound up so different. I'd put forward Chaos Ruler, the Ishizu millers, Tear's Schieren, Kit, and Kash, Zombie Vampire, the Triple Tactics cards, and Pot of D, with an honorable mention to Painful Choice for technically being a gamble of what gets added to hand (even if it doesn't generally matter).

In Master Duel with the Flashback 2010 Tryout Duels many players ran “Heart Of The Underdog” in Exodia Decks. They played ALL Normal Monsters (other than “Exodia The Forbidden One) and 3 (THREE) “Heart Of The Underdog”. Thus when you build a deck right a card isn’t a Gamble and can outright give you the win… in this case as described with Master Duel; very cheaply! Literally “Heart Of The Underdog” needs to be banned for its text with no once per turn; which really should be a hard once per turn not included in the effect. Thus “Heart Of The Underdog” needs to be Erratted.

They need to make a berserker soul retrain that makes it stronger than the anime one because it’s not like berserker soul was broken in the anime Also if I had a penny for every time I used true name blindly calling metal reflect slime that Maxx C is chained to by the opponent, for the top deck to be correct and while I also have The Revived Sky God in my opening hand all on turn 1, I would have 2 pennies. That isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. No really what are the odds of that happening twice?

Surprised none of the Dangers made it on this list.

The exodia player on exchange might be taking raigeki because they know now there exodia win condition is off line so there gonna try to achieve a deck out and that extra raigeki could keep them alive long enough

I guess they didn't grab pot of greed because without Exodia, their deck has no win condition, so drawing extra cards wouldn't help them at all.
