Even looking at EG spin off and mlp movie the mlp franchise hots it on the head with villian songs. From cappers deceitful song of friendship (though he wasn't so much a villian as a lying fleabag) to the chilling backstory open up your eyes to EVERY song by the sirines in EG rainbow rocks. I cant name one BAD villian song from them (ps we will stand for everfree is soooo powerful)

This day Aria really gives off The Little Mermaid vibes. Queen Chrylias is like Ursula in disguise as Vanessa to marry Prince Eric. However, Ariel has no voice and can’t tell Eric until the last minute just like Cadence singing about Shining Armor and saving him from Queen Chrylias. It’s really a love letter to wedding crash of the Little Mermaid.

listening to the instrumental version of both, the orchestration in Better Way to be Bad is much more intricate, but This Day Aria's melody is much more dramatic. they're both just as good as each other for different reasons!

I’m so happy that This Day Aria was #1. Sure I’m also happy that Steven Universe, Total Drama, The Fairly Oddparents, etc. was on here, but the fact that MLP is number #1 made me the most happiest.

I think another worth mentioning was Varian's Villian song "Ready as I'll ever be" that one seriously gave me chills when I first listened to it. He's probably one of the strongest villains in tangled because of his reasons behind why he was doing this. He felt ignored and rejected by Repunzel. We went to her to get her help to save his father and he felt rejected and backed against a wall. I love Cassandra's villain song also but I feel like this one deserves some recognition as well.

I think the thing is that "Ready as I'll Ever Be" is less exclusively a villain song, as only Varian's part is villainous, and (despite how awesome Jeremy Jordan's voice is) he's only part of an amazing ensemble, and not the largest part.

So glad that "Crossing the Line" is so high on the list. For me it's even number one. Together with "Waiting in the Wings" and its Reprise, all three songs show Cassandra's arc perfectly and make it very hard for the viewer to condemn Cassandra's betrayal. It's a real masterpiece from Alan Menken and Glenn Slater. Crossing the line was never so tempting as it is in this song. P.S.: Cassandra is actually having during Rapunzel's hopeful part. But then she used the word "wait", which was the ultimate trigger for Cass.

Yes! This song kind of reminds me of Let It Go, they're both that big release when they finally, really come into their power. And the duet portion is SO AWESOME it gives me chills. Although, I do really love Nothing Left to Lose... But alas, this video came out just 3 days before that episode...

@@51dani Unfortunately I can't watch the episodes yet, because the Disney channel takes it with it. But I was able to watch the third season on KZread till episode 9 (splitted in many minute long videos). Can't wait to watch the episode with the song you talked about. "Crossing the Line" rather reminds me of a dark version of "Show Yourself" as they sing both about their destinies. The first time I heard "Crossing The Line", I hadn't had the context of the episode (except that it was the first episode of season three), so I didn't even know that Gothel was Cass' mother. But as Rapunzel tries to calm her down and is ending with "wait", I immediately (even before Cass' reaction) knew that this was an unwanted big mistake, 'cause "Waiting in the Wings" (the 2nd best song of season two) gave so much insight in Cass' mind.

@@tobiasbenedictdrager965 I was able to watch the new episode on KZread, so you should probably be able to find it... And episode 10. And 11 is online if you know where to look... I love the comparison to "Show Yourself"... I hadn't thought of that. And the line "You are the one you've been waiting for" kinda fits? The first time I heard "Crossing the Line" I hadn't seen any of the show yet. It was just a snippet in a compilation of Disney songs which made me want to watch the show in the first place. But I knew that Cass was going to turn on Rapunzel all through season 2... But yeah, that wait was a big mistake and I love how the audience knows it but Rapunzel doesn't... It reminds me of when she is pleading with Varian in season 1 and says "I promise." "I'm sorry, princess, but I know firsthand how well you keep promises."

Other Friends should have been considered since they included The Pixie Rap, also from a "tv movie". That special ran 47 minutes, so not technically an episode, yet the song was included. Other Friends should have been on the list. Period.

"Ready As I'll Ever Be" is amazing, but I wouldn't quite call it a villain song, since Valerian only owns one third of the tune as the villain and the rest is done by the other characters to show that there is hope as long as they know what they are fighting for. I would rather say that it is a battle song. The villain song would be "Let Me Make You Proud (Reprise)" in my opinion.

This day Aria was my favorite when I was young and still is to this day. It’s a classic and a gorgeous song

I love the songs on this list and the fact that you guys made “This Day Aria” #1 (it’s definitely a classic!) but I actually love that “Biskit Family Business” from LPS got an honourable mention?? So many people forget that underrated show!

This Day Aria is one of my favorite songs in MLp's song line up. it really deserved number 1. what can beat that somng. that fact that it's a duet with one actress shows how skilled she is and the staff is at making this show so great and lasting 9 whole seasons. people really underestimate how great MLP FIM truly is. another reason why i love this fandom.

“Brains” and “Da Pixie Rap” are my faves.

I love how they chose "This day aria" to represent MLP villain songs,it is my fave MLP song ever! And it is truly one of best songs in the show. Also,i really like "Better way to be bad". That song is also so catchy,but "This day aria" is more awesome in my opinion :) Edit: This video is in my recommendation,and i clicked just bc i saw Chrysalis (in Cadences form) in thumbnail xD

Ironically enough, Music Meister wasn't NPH's first time singing as a villain. Many of us still remember the independent film Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and all of its songs. A thing worth noting about the musical is the fact it was made during the time of the Writer's Strike

"Empire" and "This Day Aria" are the BEST SONGS HERE and there's nothing you can do to change my mind about that

Pride and Prejudice! Why wasn’t this song on the list? That song was stuck in my head for weeks after I watched ‘Fanning The Flames’!

I honestly enjoyed the fact that "Crossing The Line" made the list, and an honorable mention for "Empire" was a definite welcome surprise😊

FINALLY...some love for the musical episode in 'Brave and the Bold'. I really needed this.

I didn't expect Tangled on here and oh my god I'm so happy it got the recognition it deserves!

While the whole song never played, Remember by Ember Mclain from Danny Phantom was a good ballad as well. Tara Strong had good vocals.

If Disney Villains are jealous of Mother Gothel’s daughter in Tangled: the series showing how bad she is an awesome song- here it comes; Like Mother, Like Daughter.

#2: Did I ever think that Cass would change sides? Well, when the trailer for the TV movie that would premier the series was released on Disney, I almost had a heart attack because there was a character off to the side of Rapunzel in what felt like every shot and I'm like, "Oh my God, Gothel lives!" I was thankful that it wasn't Gothel, though I had suspected that Cass was her daughter, but I didn't even think it was possible. When you really look at her, though, you can see the shocking resemblance between the two.

I love Crossing The Line. It’s such a great villain song and it really shows how much Cassandra is done with being pushed aside but I really hoped that Ready As I’ll Ever Be was on the list. It’s also a great villain song with how it shows how sad and angry Varian is at the world and how he blames Rapunzel for his father getting encased in the amber.

Crossing the line was amazing- especially Cassandra’s last note. It’s so powerful, saying she doesn’t matter if she loses Rapunzel because Cassandra is her own person now, and now she has the moonstone, which she thinks she owns. Her physical movements show strength and self empowerment. Just amazing.

You guys should do Top Ten TV show musical episodes. If you haven’t already.

Probably because is not an actual villain song per se. The songs on the video makes sense but for Ember; she’s just a rocking ghost girl with a cool song ever. Also, it has no evil plot like the others do.

As a Brony myself I like MLP, especially the songs for the villains, but one flaw I felt it had was that for the big villains they only have two parts, the villains seem to be defeated so easily and they feels to short. That’s only problem I ever had for that show honestly.
