Tool Review! VEVOR - 20 Ton Bottle Jack

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Big thanks to the folks at VEVOR for sending out this unit for test and review. This is a dual-action 20 ton bottle jack (pneumatic and manual). In this review I cover features, setup, and testing of this jack. It is a great tool that I would definitely suggest, especially at the price point they have it at.

Glad you have had a pleasant experience (so far) with your Vevor jack. Unfortunately, I have not. My oil level was down about 6 ounces right out of the box. The air hose fitting in the top of the air motor was crooked. . . cross threaded. Even after correcting that, the air motor did not raise the ram. All the air escaped from the tiny notches at the bottom of the air motor. I think they are for allowing surplus air to escape, but I'm not sure. NO AIR makes it into the jack body itself. I have contacted VEVOR customer service. I can tell you they tried to help me every way EXCEPT to have me return the jack! They ended up giving me a credit on my card of $45.00. My jack is still broken, and all my efforts to find someone who can explain the operation of the air motor have failed. I am going to purchase the 20-ton air-hydraulic bottle jack from HARBOR FREIGHT. At least if it malfunctions, I can get in the car and return it.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing your story with the rest of us. That is unfortunate that you have not had good luck with your unit. I guess I got lucky. I used mine just yesterday to change a tire on one of my cars. It was super convenient and easy to use. Cool that you got some money back on credit. Not sure that you would want a replacement tool from Vevor if you were not pleased with the build quality. I agree that HF is a good local alternative. I love that store! I wish that I could offer some advice or assistance with your experience, but I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by Vevor. They occasionally send me a tool to give my honest review of, but I have no further interaction with them than that. I hope your HF jack works out better for you. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Will it work with a small air compressor? Like a small pancake portercable?

I don't know why it would not work. I doesn't use a ton of volume. Haven't tried before though.

Nice unit!!! So the link goes to a Morphon instead of a Vevor unit. Are they the same unit?

Do you know max air pressure?

I believe the operating range is between 90 and 150 psi. It purges whatever excess air it does not use, so not sure it matters much. I run it with my compressor on full pressure setting. thanks for the comment and for watching!

I have two of those exact jacks, the first never worked and the second worked twice. I couldn't recommend those jacks to anyone.

I had the same problem, first time I used it & did not work afterwards. Any recommendations? Contemplating if I should give them a second chance or not.

@@DannyTravels-vq6xx My second one was just the same so I bought the bladder air jack. If you are using the jack on a flat ground and with axle stands, then the bladder jack has fewer parts and is way more reliable. I have reached out to VEVOR regarding the jacks but they haven't got back to me yet.

You should never turn off a compressor whilst it's building pressure. The unloader valve won't have blown off. Next time you start it, the motor will have to start under full load of the pressure in the system.

Thanks for the tip. This is good advice. Under normal circumstances, this is applicable. I try my hardest to shoot all of my video segments in one take, without edits, as is comes across more genuine. To that end, it was necessary to cut the load cycle short. I emptied the tank before starting it up again. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
