Tony Hawk Powell Peralta OG and Reissue models skate deck collection - full, uncut, unedited video

Ойын-сауық

Over the past 15 years of skake deck collecting I’ve accumulated a few Tony Hawk decks, some of which are quite rare and pretty awesome.
I take this opportunity to just share with you my love for skateboarding and the iconic graphics of the 80’s and 90’s.
This isn’t one of those “like and subscribe” clickbait videos. I’m just happy to share with you my passion.
I’m also using the opportunity to share with you some music from my band - Adriatic - as these two passions significantly encompass my life. I hope you’ll enjoy it all!
Lastly, I’ve taken my time showing these decks in some detail so that those of you who are keen to see some detail can do so. If you’re not that interested please FF/RWD as you see fit.
Here’s my band’s info:

No Tony Hawk Birdhouse models? The full skull of the iconic bird skull but shows more of the body is my absolute favorite. Had just about all the origin models years back but sadly sold most of them. Still have 2 original hawks that were sign by the man himself back in 2000.

5:09 I had that blue version. The year was 1987. I was 10 years old. My mother took me to the skate rink/shop to buy it. My father was furious because it cost $140. Nevertheless, I had that board for YEARS and put MANY miles on it. I got my $140 worth, to say the least. That was a well made, bad ass board.

A gray Hawk mini was my first board and I got mine around 87 or 88 I think, wish I still had it today, wish I still had all the decks me and my brothers went through as kids/teenagers.

Medallion was my fav shape out of all of them. I had the purple and black skull deck which was my first good deck in 1988 then I bought a red Medallion. So good. Id love a Medallion shape with the purple and black skull graphics

I bought a brand new pink hawk deck from skateboard world at Burwood in the late eighties it had the blue ripper logo on the front so I put clear grip tape over the entire top, had original white g bones like your green ones and blue tracker trucks. I wish I still had it

Those decks bring so many sweet memories. Wanting to relive those moments is what keeps me engaged in this hobby for almost 20 years now :)

13:56 I remember in like 1988 me and my friends were skating in Utah in the parking lot of a church, and this board was just sitting there... a complete with trucks and wheels of course. So we took it with us, but I remember the older kids kinda goofing on it because it was a "mini" deck... and there was nothing less cool than having a mini, slightly cooler than having a freestyle deck. Maybe that was the thing, smaller decks were getting too close to freestyle decks and everyone made fun of freestyle, because ramp skating was the cool thing. So they're kinda like banging on it, or kicking the tail really hard and watching it fly into the air and come down and smack the cement. We also road around on it and tried it out. I secretly wanted to take it with me because I was little and my current board was this humongous Caballero deck that was way too big. But I didn't grab it because I didn't want the older kids to make fun of me. I think we just left it there (or one of the older kids secretly grabbed it, cause why not... skateboards weren't cheap). Funny memory everytime I see this deck and think how we were just beating the shit out of it. And how stupid kids are that something might be thought of as dorky and all your friends would just go along with it.

Great collection! I have the 4th deck you reviewed. Mine is all original never been used. No grip tape, no scratches, etc.. I have saved it since 1983. It’s a mini model with bonite. Is that model sought after as well?

do you know what year the "Toe Knee Hawk", rectangle board was released? I had one as a kid (a black one). Got it as a birthday present and always thought it was weird, but my mother knew that I wanted a "Tony Hawk" deck, so she got it for me. Don't know what ever happened to it, but I sure wish I still had it for the collectability of it. Don't see them very often.

Your band sounds great! All those Hawk decks are burned into my skull, they were everywhere. I never had any except one you don't have, I thought it was the street model but you called it the signature model. Small hawk/bird head in the top left. What's your current set up?

Ok, my heart is burning over the lime green hawk. If you ever decide to sell, please contact me. I had that deck when I was 9 yrs old, a bday gift from my parents. I skated it as usual and then after the new models and shapes came I evolved to those. The lime green hawk is long gone now and I’ve been trying for years to reclaim one. I have almost every Hawk Brigade reissue, and I’ve been asking the BB guys and skate1 to reissue the lime green for 10 years! Still waiting, and collecting the others along the way. I had an OG green in my hands about 8 yrs ago it was for sale and I passed it up cuz it was a blem and had some paint damage. Biggest, absolute biggest regret of my collecting life. I’m really trying to fill that place in my heart of when I got that deck at 9. It was life changing for me. Sounds stupid, but some things we put sentimental meaning to. So, if you should ever decide to part with it, please contact me! Great video, and I’ll check out more of your band, sounds cool . Thanks for sharing your awesome collection!

I’m trying desperately to scrounge some cash for a downpayment of my own house as I’m still renting all life and hate it. Alas it may mean that it may not have skates and a skateroom as something’s gotta give. Obviously working two jobs doesn’t buy you a house in Australia. So I’ll keep you in mind.

wow powell boards always sucked too heavy no nose concave the same graphics for years and the graphics are freemason symbols at the time in 87/88 schmitt stix and alva had nose concave were better boards just werent in every skate store like powell and vision and santa cruz then sma world industries came out and blew them all away. now years later they still trying to sell these boards that have probably been in a storage warehouse for decades powell sucks always did. not the skaters but the company
