So many ways to use this matt. I got one for Christmas this past year and I LOVE it!! Yay fellow lefty. I cut right handed too because left have scissors suck!!

I loved this video! You always have such great and helpful KZreads! I have a question. You said in the end that we saw products used on dark cardstock. I did not find anywhere in the video where you showed us how to do it. I watched twice but it was late. I saw an example at 32:11 but couldn't find the tutorial portion. Am I just missing it? I loved that example and want to try to acheive that look. Help!

Thank you for a great review of what you can do with the new glass mat. Can you please tell me what the tool (it looks like a black bulb with a red long tip) is that you used to blow air to move around your alcohol inks? It is around the time marker of 18:54 minutes into your video.

If using the Pearl Ex, wearing a mask when applying it dry is recommended.

I Really need to go ahead and get That media mat... see... I Do sell my items, fairly regularly, locally... by word of mouth... so, I have a Plethora of "what I do" ... I do just about Any craft, and, if I am requested to do something, I figure it out... lol.. I suppose you'd call it personal survival 😁😊

Hi, can you cut with a blade on the glass mat?

That mat is great but not if your left handed, I would like the work paint area on my left and not having to reaching across all the time to the right. I just wish sometimes they designer's would think about crafting for everyone and realise not all are right handed. Your video tho on showing us ideas was very helpful wow you are so good at working with all the different materials and techniques. Thank you for sharing.

Not all lefties (i'm one!) work that way and one shouldn't have to maneuver to get it to work. For example, I don't want to look at measurements upside down?? Shame on Tonic for forgetting left-handed crafters.

Nobody Cares .... Totally agree with you, why should we pay out for something then be expected to make do. I think the design team needs to a 're think, as you say the measurements for us would be totally upside-down if that's what they think we should do to put the drawing pad on to the left. The bottom line is the design team, tonic, Ranger, and others, obviously thinks the whole world is right handed and gave no thought for the thousands of left-handed crafters, which unfortunately is quite common through a lot of equipment in craft land.

I agree with all of the left-handed comments. Tim Holtz and ranger/tonic should know better than this. Upside down numbers are not acceptable nor is reaching across to the right side of the mat to use it. Discriminating against left handed people is not a good thing. Sorry this is not a purchase I would buy.

Perhaps it's because only 10% of people in the world are left-handed and yes, I am left-handed!

Does the mat come in different sizes, I see a travel one, listed on some sites?

Ha! This was posted, ON my birthday. I have been looking at getting distress and distress oxide inks. I need to behave, and purchase by the set, I could Not decide Which to begin with. I do now... oxides.. I have a Variety of die and pigment inks... from a range of companies, ... So... Oxides, would be what I am missing 😉😉

I have, it will craze more if you add gentle heat not too much or it will bubble

So is the glass across the entire surface made out of the same material, the white side is just different in the sense that it has grid lines that match the size of the mini ink cubes that you can "see" better with as compared to the black side?

I couldn’t catch the type of paper you used with the alcohol inks instead of the glossy paper. I want to use the alcohol inks but the glossy paper only comes in 5x7 and I need to use larger dimensions. Thank you!

Hi, I use the Yupo paper it comes in many sizes

Also, your purple oxide, HOW did that lid not fuse to the base? I can see ink absolutely squigging out of the lid well. Mine molecularly fused together when that happened.

Hand Sanitizer, will remove anything alcohol based which are the hardest to move

I’m very much a newby. What is she spritzing with in the beginning with the distress oxide? Water? Alcohol? A specific different product? No doubt I’m laughable. Just learning.

I'm really mad they didn't make that mat work with alcohol ink. I learned it the hard way.

The mat has to have porous properties to work with distress inks for 'smooshing' so alcohol will stain it; replacements are avaialble and we aim to make videos early on for all new tonic tools to give you the best do's and donts we can

Can you stamp on this mat? I was told you should stamp on a cushy mat.
