Hello
I will never forget Seavers return to shea in 83, my big bro talking pitching with him outside shea and filling out cards for the V.A. with him at citi-field! God bless you Mr. Seaver. RIP❤.
OMG! Im watching again for the 3rd time to make sure Tom can pull it out again!
My favourite player ever
Anyone notice he smiles after he missed high pitching to the last batter?

Seaver said on MLB Network in 2010 that he actually said to Ted Simmons on the on-deck circle, “I don’t want to face you.” Simmons and Seaver were friends and Simmons had great success against Seaver.

Hello are you doing
Legend. My favorite baseball player of all time. RIP.
That was a great, back and forth at bat between a couple HOFers, Seaver and Brock
Day I was born
truly a class act...even suffering from dementia...never complained
Joe Nuxhall and Tom Brennanan, I can never forget their names. Listening to so many Big Red Machine games in the late 70’s on the radio with my dad.
Tom "Terrific" Seaver!

I could never get used to Tom wearing a Reds uniform
George Hendrick made the last out. Six years later, Mario Soto was one strike away from a no hitter and again George Hendrick was the potential last batter. He smashed a home run. Reds won 2-1; Soto got the win on a one hitter.
He always said this wasn’t in the top ten of his best games, amazing artist.⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
This was a time when the MLB didn't have a pitch clock.
If I remember correctly he lost three no hitters in the 9th while with the Mets. One on a broken bat single with two outs.

I love it
Why did Tom smile at the St. Louis benchnunder the brim of his cap with Hendrick up, after a sailing high fastball?

Because it was one pitch away from being a no hitter.

Seaver told Bob Costas in an MLB Network interview to watch his eyes during that moment. Because Seaver was actually gesturing towards Ted Simmons and reportedly said “I don’t want to face you.”
The Mets got a bunch of nothings for Tom Seaver! A-holes! ❤you tom!

the original tom terrific
The best Pitcher in Post Pearl Harbor. Checks all the boxes.............CHECKS ALL THE BOXES, NO WEAKNESS IN HIS GAME...........JUST TERRIFIC!!
Seaver was a hero of us all. Watching this clip, I'm glad they've speeded up the game. It was like watching glue dry. He was no longer an overpowering pitcher like a decade earlier.
Looks like crowd was in a hurry to get home to watch The Golden Girls. If Seaver did that at Shea, the fans would never let him leave.

I love Tom Terrific, but ex Met David Cone hurled a perfect game while with the Yankees. Doc Gooden no hit a Seattle lineup that included Edgar Martinez, ARod and Junior Griffey. Plus, a man named Nolan Ryan???
