It's been 6 years without Tom... A lot has changed in the world since he left us... But one thing that will never change is the satisfaction of sitting down and listening to an unearthed recording of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers jamming on those good ol' days!

So true. I think their versatility is what helped keep the band going for 40+ years, with new material always around the corner. They kept experimenting and keeping things fresh. From blues like this to classic 60s and 70s covers, to the country/rock/bluegrass of Mudcrutch. Tom, Mike and Ben excelled over it all.

Now that Tom is gone, I have to give his family a LOT of credit. They've treated Tom's memory so well. Not just for the family (which is most important of course) but for the fans as well. I listen to Tom Petty Radio on Sirius/XM every day. The Last DJ segment is proof of how they really care about the people who cared about Tom. Allowing fans to guest host a 5 song spot on their channel weekly and tell the stories of his music in their lives is something I've never heard on any form of radio before. I'm completely in awe of the classy way they have handled this and as a life long fan I can only say thank you.

I still can’t believe he left this world with so much music left in him. Hands down best shows I ever saw. I was lucky enough to see 2. These little gems that come along are good for all his fans souls. Please keep them coming.❤

How didn't this make the cut for the album? Thank you for the surprise. I plan on getting that MOJO package y'all are putting out to celebrate Tom's birthday. That's really awesome that you guys have reissued the concert tees.

the Heartbreakers were great from start to finish, but Mojo is the true gem of their career. an absolute masterpiece, without any filler. I wanted a Mojo 2 so bad, but Tom dying put an end to that dream. great cover of one of the blues standards, looking forward to hearing this a lot more.

You know when you're having a really stressful day (or night) & everything seems to be going against you? You don't know where to turn and even music that you typically enjoy is sounding jarring & annoying. Then you remember a certain Tom Petty song and play it... it never fails. This man has a song for every mood you could ever experience (both good and bad). Well, this one's just been recently released and it already works! Yet another Tom Petty song that makes things better when you need it. I will waffle on because there aren't many musicians who have (or have had) that gift. He's one of the very few who can make a wide variety of people all feel that there's something very personal about his music ~ something that reaches deep into you and feels like a friend making things better. Thanks, Tom ♥

This was a bittersweet moment for sure. Bitter, sitting here watching my favorite group of players in the whole world and knowing they will never be whole again. Sweet, seeing such a beautiful performance that I can say, without shame, brought a tear to my eyes. Damn Tom I miss you, if I knew you were hurting so I would have told you to stop sooner.

I grew up listening to Tom Petty, i raised my kids on him and the Heartbreakers. When my eldest son was 1-2 years old, i played greatest hits 24/7 nonstop on my CD player. If he was cranky, Tom would make him stop crying. When he was happy, we'd dance around while cleaning the house. Getting ready for bed, Tom was playing during bathtime, story time and while we slept. Im not exaggerating when i say we listened 24/7. Even in the car i had a greatest hits cassette tape (which was hard to find in the early 2000s)

My dad knew his dad. They were both from a time where being kind to your children wasn't considered an attribute. How unfortunate for us kids from that time. We had so much to give and a helping hand instead of a cold hand would have propelled us to even greater heights. I didn't know Tom personally but being from Gainesville I certainly knew of him. He did a good job of overcoming. He lived his dream. Became a force to reckon with in music. I am proud for you sir Tom!! Miss your presence in our world and in our daily hearts.
