Tom Petty is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer-songwriter renowned for his hits “You Don't Know How It Feels,” “It’s Good To Be King,” “You Got Lucky,” “I Should Have Known It,” “Swingin,” “Something Good Coming,” and “Saving Grace.” He worked with artists like Stevie Nicks, Prince, Bob Dylan, and George Harrison - amassing over 80 million record sales and 40-year career of sold-out shows.
Lyrics:
Lyrics:
Let me run with you tonight
I’ll take you on a moonlight ride
There’s someone I used to see
But she don’t give a damn for me
So let me get to the point, let’s roll another joint
And turn the radio loud, I’m too alone to be proud
You don’t know how it feels
You don’t know how it feels to be me
People come, people go
Some grow young, some grow cold
I woke up in between
A memory and a dream
So let’s get to the point, let’s roll another joint
Let’s head on down the road
To somewhere I gotta go
You don’t know how it feels
You don’t know how it feels to be me
My old man was born to rock
He’s still tryin’ to beat the clock
Think of me what you will
I’ve got a little space to fill
So let’s get to the point, let’s roll another joint
Let’s head on down the road
To somewhere I gotta go
And you don’t know how it feels
You don’t know how it feels
You don’t know how it feels to be me
You don’t know how it feels
No you don’t know how it feels
You don’t know how it feels to be me

Anytime I miss Eric Dubay in between uploads just recently, I watch this video. They remind me of each other. If everybody was awake like Eric, this whole world would be a better place. I can't stop telling people you about Eric Dubay! Thank you!!!
My mom jammed this with me in the back seat when I was small. Now I'm a mom and im jamming with my daughter in the back seat. 😊❤️🥰

Underrated? Tom's been many things, but underrated is definitely not one of them. Millions of record sales, an army of fans on every continent of the globe, respected by musicians, writers, producers, actors, politicians...shit, Tom is the King of the Universe.

Not always a great mood for me but I dearly love each one❣️
I spent years trying to work out what the "rock and roll" phenomena was that the US was so good at turning out. It wasn't Bruce Springsteen and his incomprehensible lyrics, nor was it ZZ Top and their "saucy" themes. It wasn't KISS and their "glam rock", or Meatloaf and his brand of "Hard Rock". I found it personally in Tom Petty and his friends because they seemed to me to be the sound of a very plain ordinary normal everyday America that was quite happy with their own music, something that they enjoyed nationally and had no care that others didn't. It's just an observation, but one that left me with a profound insight into everyday America, the one I grew up enjoying more than the brute shouty one that everyone else seemed to want. My hat off to our colonial cousins-there's always something to like coming from over there, even when everyone else says there isn't.
RIP Tom, we all love you

If it was a surgery even the patient (maybe especially the patient would know how it feels) would be waking up to sing along
Rest in peace Tom. You're the reason I started playing in a band.
