@@markmamola7167 No, lol, he didn't have a dynasty unless 2 dynasties can exist at the same time. In the 90's (I guess that is what your are referring to) Bowden * owned as many APs as Ozzy. * owned head to head * owned more bowl wins 8-2 vs 5-5 * owned more games. HA by 1, but that is all it takes, right * was ranked in top 5 every year. Ozzy was in top 15-20, 4 of the 10. * did not ever feel the need to play a thug and destroy what he had built. Re: the 97 NC Michigan owned Ozzy too Votes from outright NC MI - 3 Neb 31

Regarding his leading the All Americans stat. If Neb had it to over again, one has to wonder if they would have said, Tom, we are hiring you to win football games, not become the Harvard of Div 1 football. The losing bowl record will always haunt his legacy for those evaluating a football coach for his #1 priority, to win football games. Had he focused on getting players that could win big games vs players that aced tests before big games, maybe I wouldn't be writing this. Once again, Osborne didn't get it right. Poor man!
