My wife and I lived in Seattle in 97', had the best time ever at the game. We actually got to go to the game on a boat! Sitting in the end zone, we could see the mountains at the other end of the stadium. Will never forget it and that season. Frost was a great NU QB, IMO second to only Frazier, but it is close.

Ive never was alive these times but I can see how good Nebraska was in the 90s, but ive seen them be good in the 2000s and early 2010s, and I see that they were so CLOSE going 5 in a row seasons undefeated winning titles also 1999 too. I also watched all the 70s, 80s, and 90s Nebraska games every season, I think Nebraska should have more than just 5, I think Nebraska should have 10 today.

It was sad seeing the Oklahoma and Nebraska rivalry fall 🥺😢😭. Big 8 to the Big 12. Great games for both programs, I hated how Texas took Oklahoma as their rival, it was a goodbye since then. That right there is where I respect the B10 conference for Michigan and Ohio State keeping their rivalry, even though there’re more teams in the east side of the conference than in the west side of the conference.

My only problem with this video is that there's no footage from the Orange Bowl win over Tennessee...and the National Championship announcement, later. Maybe there were proprietary issues preventing that, but the Huskers played their final game of the '97-'98 season knowing that Tom Osborne was retiring. I'm sure that was a huge factor in the way they played that game.
