Man Nebraska had top notch heisman caliber option QB's for a decade straight in Frazier, Frost, and Crouch! 3 of the top 10 option QB in college history for my $.

@@themadlad8540 In the 70s & 80s, those OU QBs were the standard for "Option QBs"; in the 90s, though, there were none better than Frazier, Frost and Crouch. Scott Frost, in particular, had a swagger about him (prob. because he was actually booed by NU fans in '96). And then, Eric Crouch won a Heisman as an Option QB (which was unheard of), and Tommie Frazier deserved a Heisman.

I am in agreement. I don't know about you, but I will be watching him very closely at UCF. I don't know if it means anything, but judging from Oregon's season last year, Frost was missed. If I had to guess, I'd say Riley is here for another 3-4 years, and in the meantime, Scott can get some experience. In my little fantasy world, I like to believe that the deal is already settled, and everything is in place. What the hell...if you're gonna dream, dream big! LOL. What about the upcoming '17 season? Can Riley keep it going? I was generally happy with last year, but I will NEVER get used to those blow-out losses, and our wins were less than spectacular, and with all the new youngsters coming in this year, I have no guess...we could go 10-2, or 2-10, or anywhere in between. Hurry up, September!!

Yeah, I have thought the same things as well. I don't think any Husker fan, especially those of us who witnessed the superior teams of the 80's and late 90's, will ever get used to the blowout losses that have plagued this program for the last decade and a half. Hopefully Riley and Co. have a few tricks up their sleeve for the next couple seasons.

Well, it looks like Riley is willing to do what needs to be done. I'll bet it was tough for him to fire Banker, but We needed some changes there. And, I like how Riley & Co. are recruiting, and reviving the walk-on program. Those walk-ons were a great source of some outstanding players over the years...our ace in the hole. Like most Husker fans, I was surprised at the choice of Riley, but he is making some very positive changes, and I am optimistic that we are on the right track...finally! GBR!

The SEC has ruled the rest of college and Saban happened to be apart of it. LSU 2004 was a joke getting to play OU. KSU 35-7, the game before. Coach O (LSU 2019) will now own the best team ever for decades. Coach O??? Maybe he found himself. Rob seriously doubts that. Parity reeks.

It would have sucked for these Colorado players to have their coach, Steve "Crybaby" Spurrier, Jr., er, I mean, Rick Neuheisel, pin all of their hopes for a good season all on one game. Instead of providing gameplans and inspiration toward the other five games they lost that year. Their head coach was stomping about yelling eff-bombs and their fans chanting obscenities in unison on national TV. These kids had plenty of talent, but they were let down.

@@robjohnson8861 Losing is considered a great finish? They're supposed to get a reward just for knocking Nebraska from the top of a meaningless poll? Oh no, we lost some votes. Votes are meaningless. Games are what count. Beating number 3. in a blowout is what counts. Nebraska won the NC. They got the trophy. No one in Nebraska is going to lose sleep over some stupid votes. As for Colorado, they lost, so if they felt the way you do, which I doubt considering the crying and whining and swearing on the sideline at the end, then they would be even more of a loser like you. Not surprising a loser like you would have this take. See you on the next Nebraska video. Thing is, I check out these videos as a fan, in my spare time, when I'm not working and creating. It kind of baffles me how Nebraska never was able to get a 5-star or NFL caliber receiver throughout the ‘90s and Solich years. He literally would have gotten 1 on 1 man coverage on EVERY SINGLE offensive snap. You would’ve thought Osborne and Solich could’ve sold this concept to recruits. Demarious Thomas(RIP) chose Georgia Tech during the Paul Johnson era for that very reason. Got 1-on-1 EVER SINGLE offensive snap and the rest was history.
