Israel battles Palestine for centuries.... Yet I haven't heard of a scientologist terrorist have you? He doesn't go on shows advocating and recruiting for his cult. He doesn't stop interviewers for saying something that goes against his beliefs. His films aren't shrouded advertisements for scientology. I don't agree with his religious beliefs. But I don't agree with Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Taoists, or any other. His films are the only important issue. And seeing what he does with his personal time is actually hugely impressive - helicopters, motorcycles, airplanes... Helluva life.

Tom has worked with great directors Spielberg, De Palma, Kubrick, Coppola, Scorsese, Stone, Tony Scott, Ridley Scott, etc., and extraordinary actors Nicholson, Hagman, Newman, Duval, Hoffman, etc. I've always admired him!. I consider your personal beliefs, to be respected like anyone else's.

He is a very good actor. A natural. If you look at him in his early work in The Outsiders, he played an Okie outsider, something not that far from his own identity personality wise, but a part that was of a lower class than his real identity.He embraced this role however, by knocking out one of his front teeth, a very method type of thing to do. He had never formally studied this methodology but this level of dedication was something that came natural. He has that thing that is true to him, from an early age.

I like Tom. I went to see Maverick and before the movie started he thanked everyone for coming and said that they tried their best to make a good film and hoped everyone enjoyed it. I thought that showed a lot of class. And to me the movie was great.

Tom Cruise is the only actor I sometimes find myself NEEDING to watch in something, anything. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that my dad used to look A LOT like him, but I also think Cruise is a great actor. For instance, the way he sings weakly and shakily through tears in the lullaby scene with Dakota Fanning in "War of the Worlds" has me crying my eyes out every time.

I just come back from Top Gun 2 and it was emotional. At the end I almost cried. A lot of people did, not only woman. The greatest actor from decades. I love movies etc, and was not in the for many years. I have a few cinemas about 10 min walking a way from my house. And I was very emotional coming from this movie. I will add. Stop criticizing Scientology if you do not know it. I am not in it, but I worked for them many many years. Best ever think happened. Sadly I left, worst decision of my life. Tom cruises family emigrated from flint in North Wales. His roots are from my home town of flint. He was invited to visit the town in 2004. Top gun definitely up in my top 5 of films, I have my single prop bgt and igt in gliding because of top gun. Started flying in a Viking MK1 glider and then moved to the chipmunk and bulldog. Stopped flying in 2000 😔

I wish Top Gun Maverick was included , it was so good.

Firstly, very well made documentary! Thanks! Secondly, while Tom Cruise may be just a good actor, he is certainly a brilliant entertainer. Thirdly, he is also (leaving aside his Scientology scene aside) quite inspiring in the sense that he really shows how to push oneself to the very limit, how to immerse oneself fully in a project, and how to be razor focused on what one is doing. I may not agree with his belief system (that's his personal business), but I certainly admire him for his work and his work ethic!

Ok, but who is the girl in 43:23 ? Because it isn’t Katie Holmes. Good work, I like the video. Tom Cruise is probably the ultimate Hollywood superstar, one of a kind. You guys forgot A Few Good Men, tho. And also forgot to mention that he’s got literally like ten licenses such as pilot, parachute, diving, helicopter just to mention a few.

He tried. And there was times he should’ve won. When you a box office champ. It’s hard to take risks. Pitt can take risks. Cruise can’t.

@@akuhappy3246 he’s one of top 5 actors who doesn’t make bad movies. Real movie stars. You might like one movie more than the other. But his name says quality. Leo, Denzel, etc…. Clooney went to art house. Shit Leo make mostly dramas. But it’s assessable to average movie goers. But stars like to stick to the teams they know. Leo w Marty. Denzel w Tony Scott and now Fuqua.

@@quincybryant5231 tom cruise really excel in practical movies. But he has great performance too in tropic thunder, magnolia, born in 4th july.. So he is clearly has capabilities to make a good drama or different character genre that usually win oscar. It seems he just really loves action movies more than others option. Agree about the movie star statement. He is one of them, the real deal in hollywood movie star.

@@akuhappy3246 ppl like to say Cruise is okay actor. I think he’s a underrated actor. I put him on the level on almost everyone that came out the 80s. What make Richard Gere a better actor than Cruise? Douglass? Modine? Etc… I think Cruise put in better performances.

'Risky Business' is my favorite coming-of-age movie.

Did they even mention A Few Good Men???!!! Did way more for his career than The Firm, Days of Thunder, Born on the 4th of July, & Interview With A Vampire (& probably more than Rain Man). Color of Money, Rain Man, & A Few Good Men solidified Cruise as a real legit serious actor who can hang with the heavyweights.

But just don't u derstand how they forgot it when they specifically focused on movies that came out RIGHT before and after it & spent time discussing The Firm which came out within 6 months of A Few Good Men. Just was very odd they spent time on The Firm & Gene Hackman but nothing on A Few Good Men & Jack Nicholson.
