He's re written the book on what a leading Hollywood star can achieve. 25 years ago he was already the worlds biggest Movie Star, and ever since he just keeps on raising the bar at every opportunity. Truly an incredible career and it's not over yet.

I honestly believe Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves are the only two true movie stars left in the world --- they both carved out legendary careers for the past 40 years doing very unique and memorable roles while at the same time being involved in monstrous franchise films that made them very rich men. You really can't see how anyone can top these two icons!
There's an unbelievable amount of movies created and released these days but when there's a Tom Cruise Movie, all the others fall back a step in line. THAT'S a True Movie Star.

Kind of, but it took Keanu well over a decade longer to become successful. Tom Cruise were in several successful movies from the start.
Truly the biggest movie star of all time. He even saved cinema, the theatre experience, last year with Top Gun Maverick. In an age when streaming services are getting increasingly popular and many big movies released in theatres are failing, Tom Cruise is always able to drag audiences back to the theatre. I've always loved Tom Cruise and I always will. Tom Cruise has been eternalised in cinema.

I remember being 12 years old and hearing my parents laughing really hard in the living room --- I walked out to see what was happening and they showed me the "underwear scene" from Risky Business and I just cracked up and my Mom said "I bet you dance just like that when we're away, right?" and I just sheepishly nodded my head LOL 🤩
He’s a real moviestar and celebrity, not some influencers or some other shit, Tom cruise is Tom cruise! Making movies for audiences and the big screen to have a nice couple of hours at the theaters! He’s the only of this kind in Hollywood today!

I think he is amazing and very talented but I also think he has a very sad personal life and I think he is so driven because he had a difficult childhood so he escaped into a fantasy world and he’s still living in it. I wish he could find true peace, happiness and contentment

Yeah but I mean, the amount of successful movies at the box office just because his name was at the marquee, it’s off the charts (before he became another Mr. Sequel). He was called the golden boy for something. The guy lives for making movies. Keanu has been in some good movie projects but so has Samuel Jackson. Back in the day you waited for the next Jcvd film or believe it or not, the next Seagal movie. The guy just picks the best projects always. Plus, Cruise loves to sell the movies more than any other movie star in the history of Hollywood. The guy can’t keep a marriage but he certainly has excelled in his career.

Wow, this montage gives me a whole new appreciation for Tom Cruise. I always knew he was very driven and ambitious, but he's also a lot more authentic, humble and idealistic than I knew.
Tom Cruise is a living legend, and action-stars, like Vin Diesel and The Rock, are LAUGHABLE next to this 61 year old man; the last TRUE movie-action-hero! Actually, no one has ever come close to him in this regard (Ok, I dig Keanu Reeves too, but Cruise is still on another level, period) I bow down before Cruise, and I’ve always loved him as an actor.. In real life, the man no doubt has had his share of f***-ups, and things he regret (I’m sure) But just like the rest of us, he’s human. From the public, this man is STILL living down his apparent, well, let’s just say VERY “energetic” stage, from almost 20 years ago (that’s kinda crazy to me) Many still have a hard time getting fully back on board with him.. I, my self, am way past that though.. No, I do NOT share his religious beliefs at all, but still I believe, that HE believes he’s doing what’s right and following his heart. And honestly, how this man has conducted him self for the last 20 years, ALWAYS being extremely polite to fans and interviewers, I just don’t believe that’s an act (you couldn’t keep that up for two decades!) Despite him still believing the things he believes (I wish he would get_out though) I think he quickly realized, back in those days, that he needed to tone down his “manic” behavior - which he did. Tom Cruise, now more than ever, seems legitimately KIND, sincere and THANKFUL for his fans! He’s also still incredibly humble - you gotta have respect for that.. I tip my hat off for this man. Absolutely dedicated to his craft, and absolutely he’s at the height of his life (seriously, 61 years old!) I SO CAN’T WAIT FOR MI:7!!!

I was his high school director and can't think to what he endangers himself. When I directed him, the only reason he came out for "Guys and Dolls" was because md was on crutches because he sprained an ankle during wrestling. I had to drive him home from rehearsals as he couldn't walk home. There he told me of his dyslexia and I helped him with his lines. I still worry about him though!
he is truly extraordinary it is something extraordinary that is not understood and it is beautiful like this…. a mystery… .the last thing he said with that football uniform was very nice I wanted to add that he has a flame inside, a flame that comes from beyond that burns inside him, and all he has to do is follow this flame that guides him and makes him do everything he does, this is his dowry, his talent , he is good because he trusts this internal flame, not all men are capable of it

Wow. I did not know he was planning on becoming a catholic priest when he was really young. That's very interesting. He has lived a very interesting life. I've been in awe of his perseverance and determination for quite awhile and that was just because of what he's able to achieve as an actor. It takes alot to be so focused on what you're doing and what you're trying to accomplish. I really admire that about him. And even hearing about his struggles with his dyslexia gives me a different perspective on how I can overcome my struggles with the way I learn things, which is something I've struggled with my entire life. I applaud him for what he's been physically able to do with his body and how he's able to learn things and grasp them very quickly so he can then apply it in real life. The man has trained and received certificates and licenses to operate vehicles like airplanes, helicopters, race cars, motorcycles, stunt diving, the list goes on and on. It's really amazing to hear about his accomplishments and see him actually do them. To me Tom Cruise is the greatest action movie star of all time. I hope that as he is getting older and he'll one day reach a point in his life where he can't do those crazy stunts, that he'll work behind the camera as a director, writer, stunt coordinator etc. He loves movies and filmmaking too much for him to ever retire which is why I could see him doing other work. I'm surprised he hasn't started his own production company and or start working and training other actors who are also determined and ambitious in doing films the way he has done them. Just amazing what this person has done with his life. Very cool 👏😎 * post edit: I just learned he did have a production company that started in 1992 but ended in 2008.

His first prod company was with Paula Wagner, they split in 2008 and he created his own. He just received an award for his producer's achievements among which is the MI franchise

Tom Cruise the movie star we know brave, self made, and adventurer. The essence of Tom Cruise is portrayed in all his movie characters. However it would be nice to know the person beyond all the characters he is in the movies. The true Tom Cruise the talent and the person.
