That's so psychologically and emotionally traumatizing. To be completely abandoned and helpless to your fate as a CHILD while under 18 is inexcusable in general, but under 16 is just horrible, that's such a difficult age as is.... that's honestly some of the worst torture, akin to sexual abuse in regards to the debilitating PTSD it causes but specifically relates to all interpersonal attachments. I don’t understand how Tom can bend some of the rules in Scientology and get away with it while others can’t. For example, he was allowed to get Katie pregnant out of wedlock. By the time they got married, Suri was about 7 months old. Meanwhile, in the Seaorg, you can’t be intimate with someone outside of marriage. In fact, if women in the seaorgs got pregnant, they were forced to get abortions otherwise they were considered to be an SP.

You need to keep in mind that the media will distort many events in people's lives. They might very well be doing the same thing to Tom Cruise. We were not there,nor are we any of Tom Cruise family. So we do not know what happened,nor how each of them feel nor see things. The ones controlling these shows will destroy a person's life if that person is not towing the line. Maybe Tom is starting to see things differently,and is now trying to get out of it. We do not know. I know because my life is public domain and my life is very twisted by the media and the Reptilians.

He's the freaking hypocrite when he was the one that got his under the impression of childhood crush and dreams to be his bride and lead her into the slaughter of the scientology world pregnant before they even got married which didn't take place until almost a full year after the birth of Suri. Plus Leah even talked about how she herself was knowledged reported because she told Tom to get a room when she was called and told she had to go to Tom's house because he wanted to learn how to Salsa dance all because he was forcibly kissing Katie in front of everyone. But it's his 13 year old niece who is acting in an unbecoming manner as a scientoloist. Hell he's been acting as an unbecoming human being for the past 25 years or more. The problem is that he is treated like a King in scientology with his every wish and desire filled at a moments notice. For crying out loud he's got an army of slaves to do any remodeling he needs done in his homes for free, to refurbish his cars, they are all filled in as his servants, I even saw a video where the wedding photos and albums were done free of charge except for raw materials by the sea org for his wedding to Nicole and it was treated as an important assignment that they had to work on nonstop until completing it. He has a good deal with Scientology being King in all but name. He will never leave and I truly believe he knows exactly what is going on and approves of it and sees nothing wrong in it as well. He along with David Miscabbage both deserve to spend the rest of their lives in a jail cell and I truly hope Im alive to see that day.

What I can't get is how actors/actresses of the most current generations (1970's-1990's) could become members of a cult like this, yet past generations of actors/actresses _never_ fell under the sway of this cult or even wanted to join it. Being swayed to join this cult doesn't/wouldn't make people think highly of actors of recent generations, or the movies/TV shows they make; in fact, it would make people only watch movies of the 1910's-1950's instead, and permanently.

I hope we all together starting to boycott ALL Tom Cruise movies past, current and future movies. Do not watch this pathetic little man movies at theater, Netflix,DVD or anywhere else. I think it's time to knock his ass off of the pedestal that we as his fans put him up there.

Cruise is beyond brainwashed; he is evil. It makes me sad that audiences still show up for his movies.

My sister works in films with animals, and while on set she met someone in the crew of the movie who had worked with Tom Cruise in 'Live, Die, Repeat' (or 'Edge of Tomorrow'). In the movie there are a couple of short moments in scenes filmed in Trafalgar Square in London, and to be able to film there they had to close a number of roads that led to it. This cost about £7million. Tom Cruise, apparently, had a gym that he insisted on taking everywhere with him. He demanded that he be able to have his gym present in Trafalgar Square, though filming in there was only taking place on one day. The crew tried to reason with him but he was adamant, and insisted he would use it when they weren't filming. Eventually they gave in, but getting the gym in cost a huge amount of money. At the end of the day, Cruise went home. He didn't use the gym once. This isn't a reflection of him being a terrible person, but it's an interesting insight into his character I think.

+Emma R i think it's a total reflection of his character. especially considering that ALL THE FOOTAGE from this movie in trafalgar square showed his character fully dressed in his character's high ranking official uniform? what the hell would he need to have a gym right there on the set in that square for what purpose? it would be "different" if the scene required him to be shirtless or showing some skin, his body and he wanted to get a pump and look his best? but for the scenes and footage of that movie from this square? he needed to workout between scenes and takes and a gym was the only way to do so? really? sounds like it's one big childish i want what i want huh?!....

Please forgive the very poor quality of the video. Unfortunately we did not know the camcorder was recording in 480p. By the time we learned the video was fuzzy Nick had already left on a trip out of state. Kind of embarrassing as the video would look 10x better if it were recorded on any smartphone. I know. Scientology believes children are small adults. So, they disregard that these children do not have the emotional maturity to handle the magnitude of something like this. It's absolutely CHILD ABUSE.

So a 13 year old girl makes out with a boy, and because of this she is literally banished from her mother and the rest of her family across the country for 2 freaking years, at the behest of the "church" because her uncle, Tom Cruise, demanded it....Sounds like a "church" and a "religion" to me...what the hell is going on with the Domestic Relations and Child Welfare departments in Los Angeles? How is a child banished into a cult across the country for 2 years without her mother, during the time of her life she needs her mother the most? And now this girl, who is now an adult who is married and probably has kids of her own, is still in the Sea Org (and couldn't leave if she wanted to because Tom Cruise would have her "declared" and her entire family "disconnect" from her) and will just continue the same pattern of child neglect and abuse. Couldn't take the girl who fell through the roof to the hospital? I fucking hate hearing about these nut jobs disregard for their own people.

The horrible irony of this story is that Tom Cruise's parents divorced when he was young and it informed _everything_ in this life, it's why he did acting, why he joined seminary school to be a priest for a little while, and I think partially why he joined Scientology. Basically, because of his family issues he joined a cult that forced him to continuously divorce, disconnect, and distance himself from multiple families.

Very Good Point! I hadn't thought of that. Cults target vulnerable individuals on purpose. That RIDICULOUS E-METER they they employ during 'AUDITING" is simply a stage prop that takes the focus off the fact that he or she is telling the auditor everything they need to know to aid in their own captivity. It's not a valid technology, it is a friggin child's toy that becomes a very dangerous weapon in the hands of a systematically trained interrogator who's one and only job is to set the new recruit up for a continuous cycle of brainwashing, emotional abuse, isolation and financial ruin.

No, actually he's not. I won't say the same for Travolta though. However, blackmail over gay acts is not why JT stays in SCN. No one cares if actors are gay or bi these days. I don't think anyone is terribly confused or concerned about JT's sexuality. JT stays in because he loves his wife, and she would not leave with him if he left. Other than that, I believe JT actually feels helped by Scientology and isn't bothered by being in it. TC on the other hand just is not gay. I'm not sure why anyone would insist otherwise.

Growing Up In Scientology people are so adamant about Tom Cruise being gay. I don't know the guy but I don't think he's gay. I do think he has secrets of Scientology knows about that he wouldn't want to disclose but being gay isn't it. I I think Tom Cruise love the attention that scientologists give him. he's been placed on a pedestal. I also think it is early twenties Tom Cruise was probably a very nice guy but now he's a narcissist. from what I read, I agree with you I think John Travolta doesn't want to leave because he doesn't want to lose his family and he loves them. what I don't get is how they can be blind to the abuses Scientologist suffer. Anytime a religious body undermines your freewill and people follow, regardless of their own personal wishes, you have a cult. Control is the key and the ultimate goal is money and power. If they have control of their members, and those members are rich, then their money becomes Scientology's money. True religion does not try to control you. They try to lead and guide you in the precepts of their religious beliefs, but ultimately the choice is yours. This is not the case with Scientology.

Tom Cruise is a simpleminded dick that thinks he is smarter than others who would never fall victim to this total nonsense and cult mentality.

ronnie rodriguez seriously I recently watched a few interviews with him ( you know how it is you watch one video that leads to another before you know it your watching a bunch of shit about Tom Cruise?) Anyway he speaks as if he's a doctor, " she doesn't know about these things like I do, I am severely educated about this and I have the right to correct people when they are wrong" talking about his extensive knowledge of antidepressants is, when the people who make antidepressants and invented them don't even know how they work so how he became such a wise sage on the subject is beyond me, especially yelling at a mother who was taking them postpartum! my cousin killed her self after 18 months of going Tom cruise ' s route, postpartum is a serious disease, not to be diagnosed or treated by an actor , I know that is an old issue but it pissed me off when I saw that interview! Tom Cruise is a scary character who's ego did not need to be basically turned deity, now he thinks he's the king of everything and everyone and has either turned him into or nurtured a sick judgemental place inside that man that needed to stay dead!

I find Cruise's reasoning for kicking her out of the family really interesting and for him to call it "out ethics" considering he had a child with Katie Holmes prior to being married. What a hypocrite.

Those of you who are surprised by this story need to see Leah Remini's series or read her wonderful book, "Troublemaker". She went through something very similar as a teen in Scientology. If you can, get the audiobook. Her reading is great, moving and really funny. I have such admiration for her courage and honesty. Very gutsy gal.

To be fair, the Sea Org members do the equivalent of "slave labor" for SCN 24/7/365. I was in the Sea Org for 4 years and on a Sea Org base full time for 3 years prior to actually joining the Sea Org. My point really is simply that the SO members who were customizing Tom's cars and airplane hangers were -- I can assure you -- THRILLED to be assigned to such a project. SO members love being assigned to random projects outside the normal sphere of Sea Org work. It's exciting. I'm not minimizing the hypocrisy of Tom, who makes $100,000,000 on a good year, letting his buddy Dave "gift" him him Sea Org members who are making 50 cents / hour. But I also cannot characterize the Sea Org members who were doing the work for Tom as victims.

Especially since I can only think of a few of his movies I've actually seen. Most of them weren't exactly challenging for an actor, or particularly good movies. What has he done that impressed you. I thought he was out of his league in "Eyes Wide Shut". What did I miss? He was ok in "War of the Worlds", but from what this video and "Going Clear" show, being an a**hole isn't exactly a transformation for this cat.

I no longer watch anything with a Scientologist in it. I recently started to watch a new series on Amazon. And I googled the lead actor and it said he is a Scientologist. Giovanni ribissi? So I stopped watching it. Maybe if everyone would boycott everything with a Scientologist in it. The cult would cease to exist more rapidly

The Church cannot and does not force or encourage one parent to disconnect from their minor child, if the Scientology parent shares custody of their minor child with the parent who is declared. It would be illegal and too much of a risk for the Church to do that. Now...if the child was 18 or older, then yes, the Church would tell the Scientologist parent that they would have to disconnect from the child if the child was still connected to the other parent who had been declared SP. The NORMAL thing to do in Tom Cruise's situation is that...as long as Tom is connected to Katie through Suri, Tom should not be eligible to receive auditing as long as the connection to Katie exists. Tom, in this circumstance, would still be a Scientologist, but just would not be eligible to receive auditing. It is POSSIBLE, although I cannot say for sure, that Tom -- in order to set a "good example" to other Scientologists has VOLUNTARILY decided not to see Suri because he doesn't want to have the connection to Katie. I'm not saying that Tom hasn't seen Suri. I don't know. But if he's not seeing Suri, it's not because the Church is forcing his hand, it's because he's trying to show Miscavige what a good dedicated Scientologist he is.

so he will wait until she turns 18 to dump her? calling b.s. on it. he has already distanced himself from his minor child. he sees her less and less frequently all the time, by his choice. he cancelled a recent scheduled visit with her because it was, apparently, more important to attend some scientology function. nobody is buying it anymore. they may not be "expelling" people; but, they are exerting enough control over them to see to it that it happens. too many families are being broken up over this cult. they have been outed as the liars they really are. they are no more than a cult, reminiscent of the Moonies back in the seventies. i expect they will eventually be investigated, just as sun yung moon was, and publicly outed for what they are. wouldn't be surprised if there weren't some arrests made in the end of it either.

With all the deaths occurring inside this Cult, why are they not being seriously investigated? The torture and death of Lisa Mcphearson (i think that was her name) at Flag org. a few years back was murder and Miscavige calls that case a "Win" because no one in the cult was prosecuted.

Because there isn't a huge outcry from the American people to do it. Politicians are afraid of the litigious nature of Scientology and their billions. IRS is afraid their own corruption would be exposed again, which is why they caved in 1992-3 and gave tax exempt status. If tax exempt status were removed, scientology would curl up and die.

twinstar9 I've been listening to Hubbards early "congresses" from the 50's and 60's, I swear he tells the most unbelievable, most ridiculous stories he's been involved in and you can see (hear) right though him, they were all lies. He tells one story of being on a Radio show, and a women was doing an advert for some cleaning product and was not feeling well with a cold or flu. So before she had to do her commercial, he talked to her for 2 minutes and she was no longer sick. It's so obvious he's lying. If you get a chance find his congresses or speeches they're on YT, you can always tell when he's making shyte up or coming up with some ridiculous theory.

twinstar9 And men like Tom Cruise and John Travolta WORSHIP him as if he were some genius... I honestly don't get it. They think, the foundation belief of Dianetics, is that just because we experience trauma or abuse at one point in our life, that years later, we can't work it out through our analytical thought process on our own. It's as if only the reactive part of brain is alone when bad things happen. Are they just forgetting or underestimating that process of healing? I guess so.

Remember, this cult is not interested in healing. They are interested in enslaving your mind and taking your money. The have been said to be one of the top 10 most dangerous groups in the world, right up there with Al-Qaeda. Hubbard borrowed from both Sigmund freud and carl jung when he cobbled this bunch of bull together. If you've been to college and earned a degree in the basic arts and sciences you have been exposed to jung and freud. however, if you've never been to college or even finished high school, like tom cruise and Travolta, then when you encounter these ideas from hubbard you think, my god, this guy's a genius. my theory is scientology is much more believable to the uneducated. of course, the whole notion of a religion founded by a sci-fi writer is so ridiculous it's hard to fathom. I really feel for the people sucked into this by their parents, though. the whole thing is a monstrosity.

I'm not sure the public at large really understand that the fact that LRH was a Science Fiction writer is not a strike against him. It seems the public at large think that Scientologists are just completely missing the fact that some of the core beliefs of Scientology are similar to LRH's fiction works. Scientologists are not missing this fact. Scientologists believe that the REASON Hubbard wrote those fiction works is because he was writing about things that he had already "figured out" in his Scientology "research". They believe he was trying to instill certain "truths" from Scientology into popular culture by including them in fiction works. It's easy to say that Scientology appeals more to the uneducated, but there are many, many, many doctors, lawyers, dentists, chiros, CEOs, scientists and even journalists (Greta Van Susteren) in Scientology. The basic beliefs of Scientology are no crazier than Christianity or Islam. Are Christianity and Islam more believable to the uneducated? Perhaps.

People also completely miss that Hubbard's former bud who he started Scientology with before they had a falling out, was Anton LaVey, who called his version the Church of Satan. To reiterate, Hubbard and La Vey had the same concept and ideals. Scientology and Satanism are directly linked in the US and it is rarely mentioned. One of their students in the 60's? Charles Manson.

oh for the love of god, I wish everyone would stop called this whole absurd Scientology bullshit a religion! It was Dianetics (spellchecks??) in the 70s, and it was predicated on some bizarre sci-fi crap L Ron Hubbard was writing in the 50s or 60s. He just wanted to get the IRS off his ass, so he invented an idea to create Dianetics as a Church status by renaming it Scientology and somehow was able to pass that into a religion! He bought a ship to be offshore so he wouldn't have to pay taxes before that. Then he got a bunch of naive people to buy into it. He made money by it by bilking money out of kids. Now the new Chief takes it out of many, many pockets and with fools like Tom Cruise making millions for him. I hope the empire falls and fails to thrive. Let's hope this cult ends their lunacy on earth and travels in their imaginary spacecraft back to their planet soon! I mean, you just can't make this stuff up.... L Ron Hubbard would be laughing his ass off if he was alive.

Although I no longer believe in Scientology, I do believe that the body of work which is Scientology is religious in nature and I have no objection to it being called a religion. The IRS should certainly take another look at Scientology's tax exempt status due to the current human rights abuses, and the abuse of parishioner donations. However, it would not be very difficult for Scientology to reform on these points if they wanted to. I also vehemently object to Scientology's policy of enforced familial disconnection, but those are specific practices and policies. The overall subject and practice of Scientology cannot be defined by a few practices and policies. And while I believe that the entire story and promise of Scientology is a complete lie and a fraud, I feel the same about all other organized religions. So you won't hear me talking about Scientology not being a religion. You'll only hear me talking about what Scientologists REALLY believe and what REALLY happens in Scientology. Christianity, and all other major religions, are pretty crazy as well at their core. The Bible is just as crazy as anything L. Ron Hubbard wrote in my opinion.

I honestly don't see what's so bad about scientology except the money extortion aspect that the church is doing. But scientology in of itself just seems like self improvement, getting rid of negativity and not being afraid of dominating what ever field you're working in and is passionate about.

Growing Up In Scientology A 2 and a half hour long podcast with Louis Theroux on the Joe Rogan Experience, talking about going down the scientology rabbit hole for 3 years and doing a documentary about it. He says it's a weird group that is very manipulative and trying to take your money, however what they're teaching is a lot like any self improvement teachings. Building confidence by doing eye contact drills, practicing confident/dominant body language and speech. Getting rid of negative thoughts etc. In the podcast Louis says that some of the teachings was very helpful to alot of people and even saved some people's lives who claims that scientology is what got them of drugs. Sure they have some weirdness going on like the fact they won't help you or give you any treatment of any kind if you've ever had any psychiatric treatments before and they extort people for donations by asking how much they're committed to scientology and talking them into giving donations so that if the person should ever leave and want his money back, it's impossible to get it back. But if you take away the money extortion part and the weird behavior, I don't see how just reading Dianetics and practicing their teachings would be anything other then positive. Am I completely off track here?

Yes indeed I remember taking some classes at scientology Los Angeles about 35 or so years ago and realized it was not for me so I never went back or looked back. A couple of years ago the wife and I started getting a lot of unwanted phone calls from people at scientology and I kept telling them to stop calling us and they just kept it up regardless of our desires. Finally I started screaming at them and it has subsided some now, but we still get lots of trash mail from scientology and I have asked them to stop, but it has not stopped. I complained to the us-gov unwanted phone call people, but they were of no assistance that I could tell. This is just plain evil as I see it. Thank God for our freedom of religion to choose as we like. I suspect that scientology (if they could) would take this freedom away. Robert Shrewsbury Utah

Watch my most recent video; it's regarding the Clear Cognition. If you call up your local Church of Scientology, ask to speak to the Ethics Officer, explain that you've requested to be removed from the mailing list many times with no luck and so now you wanted to tell him the Clear Cognition. Ask him if he would rather you tell him the Clear Cognition, or would he rather you call up the org a couple times a week and tell the Clear Cognition to whomever answers the phone, or would he rather make sure your name was off the mailing list. I think you will stop receiving mail right quick.
