It's pretty in character that Doom would be against Bastion's actions of genocide since Doom went through similar trauma of persecution, since Doom as a child came from a Romani heritage. Yet, his people were hunted down by the former tyrannical baron of Latveria. I really appreciate how the writers really understand all these characters on such a deep level

X-Men fans have never been spoiled this much outside of comics in history! Whether it’s the deadly tag team of Nightcrawler and Wolverine, the Summers Family fighting a horde of Prime Sentinels, Bastion’s on screen debut as one of the the biggest and most formidable villains in Marvel history, Magneto proving again why he’s one of the most OP characters in comics history, and Charles Xavier ending the episode with “To me my X-men”. *AND THIS IS JUST PART ONE!?!?!?!* If parts 2 and 3 are this great or even better this will go down as the greatest comic book tv show ever made!

There's also another timeline where Miguel O'Hara wields Mjolnir and pretty much becomes the leader of Earth, using the power of Thor's Hammer as a deterrent. Magneto was at the pole because Earth's Magnetic Field is strongest at the Poles, so it amplified his powers.

Omega level mutants are something else. Magneto turning off the world was crazy

After watching this episode, Bastion has quickly become one of my favourite X-Men villains. Bastion is such a great villain so far in this show, and his plan is genius yet horrific to think about. Him being a mix of Nimrod & Master Mold is wild. I love how charismatic he is with his belief that mutants supposedly take away humans' chances of the future like a twisted entrepreneur, and what's even worse is that there is a level of truth and meta-commentary from his philosophy and how he manipulates blue-collar class racism and bigotry normal humans create based on their fears. Not to mention the fact that such a big part of the population are secretly Human Sentinel sleeper agents and didn't even know it is SCARY ASF! These things can also reproduce and extend the human population, making the implications even more terrifying. That Wolverine and Nightcrawler fight scene is some of the best Western animation I have ever seen in a comic book show like GODDAMN, THE SCENE WAS PEAK! I loved seeing the first-person perspective of what it's like to teleport with Nightcrawler. I love how much of an overprotective mom Jean was to Cable, and seeing the Summers family fighting together was cool and cute to watch. Dom Torretto would be proud It was really surreal watching Dr Cooper become so numb to the death and misery humanity creates to make mutants suffer, ultimately coming to accept that Magneto was right about humans since Gyrich was teasing this fate in the first episode when he said, *"Tolerance is extinction"* , basically meaning summed up as whenever humans start tolerating mutants, humans believe they'll go extinct, therefore believing whenever mutants start tolerating humans, mutants need to go extinct, hence what happened in Genosha. Magneto also officially declared war on humanity after all the pain and death he witnessed and sending that EMP blast around the world, which no doubt caused hundreds of other deaths, like planes falling out of the sky, reactors losing power, and God knows what else was such a scary yet overpowered move! BTW, THE CAMEOS IN THIS EPISODE ARE INSANE; WE GOT SPIDERMAN, OMEGA RED, DOCTOR DOOM, BARON ZEMO, SILVER SAMURAI, etc...

This episode was CRAZY! If anyone is wondering why Cable doesn't use his powers, it's because hes constantly using telekinesis to keep the techno-organic virus on his arm from spreading. So he's kinda handicapped and has to use weapoms. I'd love if they cured him in X-Men '97 like they have in the comics to make him even more badass.

That would be amazing and make a ton of sense if they introduce onslaught as in the original run he fought the entire marvel universe practically. I saw folks saying the cameos meant they were going to bring back spiderman cartoon, avengers, etc...I didn't really agree until I saw your comment. Onslaught ended with a marvel comics reboot basically. If they do that they could easily make new Spiderman etc.

I grew up on X-Men: Evolution, and one of the few episodes I clearly remember is the one where Forge (I think?) made a device to slow down Nightcrawler's teleportation, giving them a chance to study the Brimstone Dimension, but also accidentally letting out demons. In this episode, I kept looking at the background for hints of that dimension, but there weren't any; I guess he's just moving too fast.

a lot going on. Now that we saw Spiderman, my guess is that he just finished his journey with Madame Web (not the young terrible movie version). This whole thing is an aftermath of X-Men TAS Season 4 "One Man's Worth Parts 1 and 2", people. That explains what became of the Nimrod sent to kill young Charles Xavier after it failed. Now here we are. And best believe that the actions set into motions by Master Mold/Nimrod/Bastion will lead to Fatal Attractions and Onslaught. This series has been a very pleasant surprise.

I wonder if Professor X and Magneto would argue on the way how they should settle this thing?

Jean can’t just go Phoenix like in X3 😂. The Phoenix is a cosmic being that used Jean as a host for a bit. She’s up in space, man. Edit: Post part 3. Okay then! Let me stfu i guess! 😅 But it seems like it was probably a one time thing. At least not readily available to use.

@@1r745 I would think then he’d say something like “Man, it sucks Jean doesn’t have the Phoenix anymore, that could solve this quick.” But he’s saying “We need Phoenix!” like it’s currently an option Maybe he does mean it in the former sense, it just sounds like the latter to me 🤷‍♂️
