Fun fact: In the comics, it’s known that when they Watcher shows up in person, something majorly important is going to happen- and a lot of the time it’s something terrible. So the Watcher showing up in this episode was a warning that something major was about to happen.

I loved this. It's like they're starting to acknowledge the comic books more. In the Civil War run the Watcher also appeared before the Pro Registration group (and they all saw it)

The one time she’s finally able to touch him…”I can’t feel you” That last scene BROKE me. Same goes for "Remember it." Gambit went out like a real warrior. I hope this somehow isn't the end for him.

Its not really that alot of people die. Its just a major event that will shake the entirety of the Marvel timeline(s). Like in the comics when i think he witnessed events like Civil War. And then the What If series as he observes the nexus point that changes the MCU timeline into different directions (which yes, 7 times out of 10 does mean important and/or many people die)

ANY sign of struggle and they're immediately on his a$$. He was on top of the world. He was the leader, had a wife, had a baby, was gonna go into retirement with the family. Magneto took over, wife left and wasn't actually Jean, baby was sent forwards in time, can't leave now after a nuclear bomb just dropped on mutant kind, and Jean is shacking up with Wolverine. I don't understand how people don't get that she's a clone. Meaning that she not only has Jean's DNA but her personality as well. If Jean hadn't been kidnapped and cloned, all those memories and moments Scott had with Madelyn would have been with Jean, including their son. Scott's argument against Jean doesn't even make sense. They're both going through some fucked shit but there's a difference between kissing someone in the spur of the moment and having a romantic affair behind someone's back for a month. Also something to remember is that he does this after Madeline left. She "abandoned" Scott. They both deserve some criticism but it's perfectly understandable for a fan to be annoyed with Scott for his behaviour.

Sheera Madeleine and Jean are the Same Person, same genetics, appearance, abilities, memory and Personality. The only difference between the two is Jean is Scotts childhood love, while Madeleine is his Wife and the mother of his son. Scott and jean share the same history but Scott and Madeleine share a parental bond and share the same pain losing their child. Scott can't just go back to jean after abandoning Nathan and act like his time with Madeleine didn't happen or matter. Him saying he loved both of them was the correct answer as they are literally the same.

The parallel with WandaVision for that "I can't feel you" line is 1000x more painful. My man Gambit went out like a G. Cable or Bishop or whoever better fix this 😭😭😭

The speculation is that Demayo has an Onlyfans account, and since higher ups at Disney still considers them as "family brand" they don't want a possible controversy or someshit. Really sucks because what he cooked up so far is really good. Animation service itself is done by Studio Mir, so animation looking good is on their part, but story itself is really solid to which is something Demayo and his team contributed.

The Sentinel attack had nothing to do with Magneto, it was just about Genosha getting accepted into the United Nations. It was about there being a mutant nation and it being a threat to "normal people"

That interview blowup with Cyclops is giving me massive “Cyclops is right” vibes. Revolutionary Cyclops, and the road to that version, was such a great era. It seems that this show is slowly building up to that development. I thought it was a good choice to have Scott lose control during the interview as it sets up the later events of the decimation of Genosha. Mutants have to try and appease humans time and time again, yet they are never truly accepted as an equal sapient being. It was honestly quite hard to watch the attack on Genosha as it felt like a real terrorist attack. So many feels and emotions. And I also loved adapting the Scott/Emma mind palace cheating story with Madelyne instead as it feels so at home given this story. Scott and Madelyne share a son and lost him together. That shared parental bond and trauma is hard to replace. Especially since Scott was abandoned by his father. And Magneto speaking german to Leech as they were about to die and Gambit’s “Remember it” callback then Rogue finally being able to touch him because he’s dead in her arms 😭😭😭 This is some of the best work that Marvel has put out and hopefully the MCU can handle the X-Men like this. Can’t wait for the next episode.

Yes, Genosha is in Africa. It's a island north of Madagascar, off the coast of Africa. Regarding Magneto & Rogue's relationship, in the comics Magneto was de aged. So even though he's mentally in his 50s-60s+, in the original stories, biologically he's in his 30s.

Yeah the Magneto/Rogue ship is wierd, if only because of the whole 'Magneto is a holocaust survivor, yet comics exist on a sliding timescale' thing. I think it works perfectly fine in universe. It makes sense that Rogue would be romantically interested in the one guy who can actually physically touch her. Especially because he's Magneto, and Magneto's dope.

It also helped that their original relationship in the comics happened before Rogue and Gambit even MET. Gambit debuted about a year earlier at a time when Rogue had gone missing after a fight with Nimrod/MasterMold and was believed dead, but after the fling she didn't rejoin the team until right after Gambit had become a member. Their second attempt at a relationship happened at a time when Gambit had been turned into one of Apocalypse's Horsemen and couldn't be trusted because he still had his Death persona had in his head (just like Angel & Archangel).

@@senecavanzandt4425 Wakanda tends to stick to its own personal interests. Even when T'Challa was married to Storm he never made any real effort to help the mutant cause and that was BEFORE Namor flooded the country while high on the Phoenix Force.

Jean had the nerve to get mad at scott after she JUST kissed logan, rogue playing with gambit in his face, to go back to magneto in front of the world, to go back to gambit smh im disgusted. Magneto and gambit paying the ultimate price on top of everything that happpened was the last straw. Them two specifically need JUSTICE. They aint had peace throughout my whole lifetime 😭

Gambit was originally an omega level mutant he unfortunately never met Professor Xavier when his powers first manifest. Mr. sinister offered to help him control his powers so he performed brain surgery on Gambit, fucking with the part of the brain that controls his powers which greatly reduced his capabilities because originally Gambit could just blow things up just by looking at them.

There was a storyline in the 90’s where Gambit fought against an alternate universe version of himself who was an Omega and I believe he got his powers originally restored. But at the end of that story arch his powers were brought back down to its current nerfed level. After he defeated his evil version

I got to say though, He should be closer to the clone. If you get rid of the creepy clone angle, he spent the last 9+ months with her, had more adventures with her, married her... or at least enjoyed married life with her. They share the grief of nathan, something the real Jean can't. Though after this episode I doubt Madelyn is in the picture at all. RIP Magneto, Remy, Madelyn, and 16 million unnamed souls.

Just for some context because some of the characters in this episode were already introduced in the OG Show like Emma frost one the strongest telepaths in the verse easily top 5 if not top 3 The guy she was standing next to is Sebastian Shaw an alpha level mutant (one level under Omega)they’re both from the Hellfire club they used to be villains but these days at least Emma is more an Xmen now and a high ranking too more than shaw he still on his bullshit more times But his powers are somewhat like bishop but instead of absorbing all types of energy he can conduct and absorb kinetic energy to make himself stronger ,faster and more durable. You may have seen him in live action played by Kevin bacon in XM first class film which Moira character was also in played by Rose Byrne who’s sometime seen as Xavier’s girl Banshee the other redhead person on the table was also in first class he has a sonic scream power with a suit that allows him to fly is another one of the earlier xmen depending or what your reading. P.S if it wasn’t obvious cable is also a telepath it was him giving his mums a headache trying to warn them about the attack 😢 and plus give my boy Scott some grace y’all it’s not as simple as drop one and choose the other all 3 involed have no idea when the switch happened other than the last 9montns because madelyn had the baby but of course he loves both especially when they both believe they where the same person at one point everyone is a victim at this point.😞😭

Best bit about this is that even if they do time travel and save their own timeline, they have set up a timeline where it looks like a real Days of Future past narrative happened.

Jean and Madelyn both have mixed up memories but both have the same memories of Scott and Logan and their history. But nobody knows when they got switched which one Scott married, what memories are theirs, but Madelyn did have Scott’s kid but anything before those 9 months and after sinister first showed up who knows. They’re all mixed up and struggling also the fact they’re both Jean makes it even more complicated. In the comics it wasn’t Madelyn’s that was having that affair though if Scott married Madelyn I guess it wouldn’t be but still. In the comics Scott abandoned Madelyn’s and his kid the minute he found out Jean was back. Didn’t even know she was a clone then just a woman he fell in love with
