Todd Winkler was a successful guy. Ex-air force pilot, living in sunny California, with his beautiful wife. However, while the cat's away the mice will play, and things turned deadly. He claimed self-defence, but was it? Especially when it was learned his previous wife also had a mysterious end.

My dear Mike, as an old age pensioner without any family it is always with great pleasure that I’m waiting for and watching your videos. The way you let the viewers have a look at the dark side of so many families but at the same time presenting these interesting and sad cases with a good sense of humor and a twinkle in your eyes, is very entertaining - if this ist he right word to use. As I spend my days reading a lot and not being able to meet a lot of people, you’re always a highlight of my day whenever I get a notification of you sharing yet another case of mysterious murders or disappearences. You are a very smart, intelligent young man, the kind one hoped for to be one‘s grandson. Before I sit down to watch another episode, I make myself a cup of tea, biscuits at the ready so I can truly enjoy a few minutes of real life happenings. Bless you, dear Mike , I’m already looking forward to give it a goo once more.👍

They go to high schools (usually in poorer neighborhoods) and recruit young people, mess them up thoroughly and then just unleash them on the citizens with not much skill, training to kill, and a whole lot of trauma. My twin brother was a corpsman and couldn’t get related work when he got out after witnessing his best friend get his head blown off- I doubt he will ever be healed from what he saw and they let him sign up at 16, he was at training at 17. Many are on the streets, their healthcare is a battle both for physical and mental ailments. So much of the budget is wasted on weapons we will never need, those get passed off to other countries who we act shocked use them… every generation gets their own war so the cycle never ends. Rinse and repeat.

Hello my American friends. Please don't take my comment as an insult because that's not my intention. You are the world's nr 1 superpower, a rich country that does have the economic resources to take care of your military personel, but your government just don't. I mean how many cases have we seen now where veterans do the most horrible crimes you can imagine. There needs to be a kind of safety net for them when they get back into civilian life. First of all, they shouldn't have to worry about housing and some basic income so they can survive, secondly they should get free and mandatory psychological counselling. And before being let out among civilians they should have to go trough a thorough psychiatric evaluation to see if its safe to let them out among civilians. Some things I read about USA makes it sound like a third world country to me. I'm referring especially to health care, both mental and physical. And homelessness and poverty. And violent crime. USA has so much money for the military but no money for its own citizens it seems. I've read about people working 3 jobs just to survive and still having to sleep in their cars cos they can't afford anywhere else to stay. Your country seems so beautiful in many many different ways and I've NEVER met an American who was not nice, your people seem so incredibly kind, open, happy, funny I just love Americans. I studied in an American High school in Sweden where I live and most teachers and many students were Americans. I also met American tourists when I worked on cruise ships and in restaurants and they were all soo nice. Just one funny episode (completely unrelated). A group of US tourists ate at a restaurant where I worked, and they all had their passports in a see trough plastic kind of pocket around their necks. I had to tell them, that even though Stockholm the capital of Sweden is relatively safe, its not good to flaunt that they are tourists, I told them its better they put that passport-necklace inside their T-shirts because robberies etc happens here too. They thanked me for my advice :) I love American people, youre the kindest people, you, Jamaicans and UK people are my top 3 for nice kind people ❤💕😊💖 Lots of love and greetings from Sweden 😀

I've actually heard more of the story of the first wife, than I had this second one. The first wife's friends/family said Katherine did not like camping and that the camping trip was entirely set up so that he could murder her. It's still hard to believe that the first case was never reopened as a potential homicide. He said there was a prolonged struggle with his second wife. I'll bet she was kicking his fat ass until he got a lucky strike with those scissors. Hope he rots. RIP to both of his unfortunate wives and God bless those poor kids.

Usually to reopen a case there needs to be new evidence, and compelling enough evidence to justify a trial. It's tragic but I don't know if they will ever find compelling enough evidence to justify reopening her case considering how much more surreptitiously he planned her death compared to his second wife If only the scissors found their target in her hand and not his... The murder of his first wife with the free 'thrown from the truck' - trick alibi reminds of the case where a dude named Peter Bergna murdered his wife Rielle and did exactly the same, including fake-rolling off of part of a steep mountainside (without a scratch, without losing his mobile phone and with a lot of fake crying that was so overdone and so obviously acted that that alone would likely had led to his conviction if forensics had not).
