I’ve been the new boyfriend in an attempt at this situation. Luckily we were still awake, and I had a friend backing me up when the ex broke in the second floor. It got ugly, but luckily we were able to get him onto the ground before anyone but him was too badly hurt. He went away for a long time. Still is, as far as I know. The second floor room he broke into at about two in the morning? That was her bedroom. He didn’t know we were there and awake with her downstairs. I know he planned to murder her in her sleep. Oh. And he knew but didn’t care that her toddler was there and slept in her room. That was ages ago and it still gives me chills.

It's always amazing to see murderers look right at an interviewer or detective and without blinking or flinching say "No I didn't kill them", and then later admit that they did but it was self-defense. If they are that good at lying initially, they would easily lie about how they killed, including saying it was in self-defense.

The kid might not have said those exact words and the mother wasnt that caring either.. she used to work throughout the day n then party late night....no autistic child should be treated that way by their mother but yea what happened was really tragic

I was astounded at his stupidity in covering the abuse and murders, until it finally dawned on me that he just didn't care. He fully believed that he had the right to do those things because of his perceived slights. The possible repercussions don't matter because he "won".

I agree very disturbing. I watched the trial. The neighbor who had beers with Adam not knowing he had just murdered whole family. Adam really is POS. Obviously story not believable. Self defense they all attacked him. He killed them with his son there. The victim impact statements were some of the most poignant and powerful I have ever heard. Note to self: don’t let ex boyfriend and baby daddy move in and be dating someone else. Even if ex not a psycho not a good idea.

This ,man really expects folks to believe he took down a whole ass household of people in self defense. Please.

I tend to hang on to the past even though my past is nowhere near as traumatic as his. Hopefully he doesn't hang on to the terrible trauma of having one whole side of his family murdered.

Ok dont take this as defense of this dude but my own lived experience. When you are in a violent situation wierd stuff happens. I had this woman renting out my basement apartment and she stopped paying rent and got insane during eviction. Anyway she ended up attacking me and I ran into the bathroom in self defense and when she literally backed me into a corner I blacked out and a few minutes later my neighbor was outside but there was blood everywhere and I had used like a small toothpick to cut her anyway got found not guilty but who knows had the neighbor not shown up. You loose it when being attacked

Sometimes ppl feel nothing and look like this, other times its a combination of pain/trauma/evil that makes ppl appear to have “soul-less eyes”. We are really good at picking up on things like this bc we’d want to avoid ppl like this bc they tend to be more dangerous/antisocial, etc

I have grown up and lived and worked in this area with the exception of when I went into the Marines for 4 years. This case is so sad and I remember it clearly when it happened. That being said... there are a lot cases in this area of pasco county. Mike you could make a lot of videos just from this area. We've been on cops and 2 seasons of live pd and there are multiple true crime documentaries and docuseries on so many cases that have happened. I hope this little boy can find peace in his life.

Heard a guy in the store the other day say, "Heeyyy you" to his kid and smiled. If he had followed with, "Aannndd welcome, my name is Mike," well, that would have been weird.

What's really disturbing,, is that the killer tells his lies so calmly. His lies are so ludicrous yet does he possibly think anyone will believe him? Hopefully the other prisoners will take good care of him.

That man went completely ham in that house. They had to have known that he had mental issues or anger issues. I don't think she should have had Nick over in the middle of that drama. The best thing would first try to reason with Adam, in police presence, or just have him taken into custody.

Haha, yeah, that's pretty silly. However, he didn't exactly try very hard to get away. I think once he realized how much effort it would take to cover everything up and then still have to find a way to live on his own in complete secrecy... he knew he was in over his head and that it was just a matter of time before his run came to end. He left the bloody blankets in the garage, he left the vehicle covered in blood, he left a giant pit in the back yard, and he just piled the corpses up about 30 feet away from a road. All of this within 24 hours of Megan calling the cops on him for holding a knife to her throat and threatening her life. These are not the actions of a person who's hoping to get away with murder. To be honest, if it weren't for his love for his son, he probably would have just killed himself before the cops got him. And that love for his son ultimately left Trystan as the real victim after all was said and done, having to endure the lifelong anguish that comes with such nonsensical madness. My sincere condolences to that poor little fella.

I can't believe a potential juror said she would be distracted by him cause he's "too pretty." I can guarantee she'll be writing him love letters in prison. Pathetic!

This is one of the most violent stories I've ever heard and the heartless monster who committed the crime was as smooth as silk explaining how he fought the whole family while defending his own life. There are more than a few monsters like him who deserves a cruel and unusual punishment that fits the crime. I don't understand how anybody can kill another human being and be so calm about it. Lie in court about it as if he was talking about a sporting event. has to be a heartless beast with absolutely no feeling for the victims. The punishment should fit the crime.

If his tale is true, It's a pity the dad didn't just smash him over the head with the rifle butt when he was distracted fighting the new boyfriend, but i don't believe his story anyway, i think he attacked when everyone was in bed, he killed the mum on her arrival home, then the boyfriend & Megan, dad probably awoke, heard the gunshots & hurried to get his rifle but was killed while loading it. Poor family.

Trust me Mike, you never want to smell a dead body...it is all of the things you listed, multiplied by 100. I worked at the Sheriff's Office here (IN FLORIDA...I mean where else?🙄) and I was on a call that had a man who passed away. In Florida. No A/C. 2 weeks prior. I'll never forget that as long as I live.😣😥 I swear, no other smell has ever lasted in my nose longer than that dead body. I tried snorting (not really snorting it, just being a tad dramatic) hand sanitizer once I got back to the patrol car.😖🥵 Didn't work.

Thank you for this one Mike. I watch you all the time. This one in particular was interesting because my dad lives right around the corner from the house that this nightmare happened. My dad doesn't like these kind of stories but he liked this and how you explained it all. 👍👍👍
