It's honestly impressive that Konan was able to give Obito this much of a hard time. Her strategy and abilities cornered Obito enough to not only damage him and destroy his right arm, but also force him to use the Izanagi to save himself. Plus, you're forgetting that she was able to go toe to toe with many leaf shinobi during the assault on the village, but also was able to fight against members of the Aburame clan, including Shino and his father. She definitely isn't someone who should be taken lightly.

The fact he even had to use Izanagi just proves how powerful Konan is. Incredible animation and incredibly underrated encounter in Shippuden.

It's like when people criticise Sakura by saying she's too weak to be in the main trio like WTF. Sakura is on of the characters who trained the most in the show. She was able to surpass her master Tsunade in Strength and perfect medical jutsu who is a member of the Senju clan, direct granddaughter of the 1st Hokage. She came from nothing, she has no crazy eyes, no magic beast inside her, no OP lineage, nothing. She achieved everything just by training. Wish characters like her, Lee or Konan got to shine more

@@clarencehalbay6042 Not really, like how did she “figure” the 5 minutes limit when Obito only fought Minato and her, that’s literally the only times Obito actually “Fought”. Also, she couldn’t gather information when Obito is the mastermind and literally has intel of the entire world, if she was onto him he would’ve known due to Zetsus which are spread to the entire shinobi world, let alone the fact that she cannot gather information about him nor follow him as he wipes his existence as mentioned in story, only Itachi figured about him (due the fact Obito let him live as we have read in Itachi’s novel).

“I have amassed over 600 billion paper bombs to kill you…and they will continue to explode for ten minutes.” Konan seriously looked like an MMO raid boss in a cutscene here

Konan was such a badass that they had to invent a new sharingan ability just to allow Obito to live!

I just realize if Konan was close to Itachi like Kisame or Kakashi was she could have won this fight if Itachi gave her intel on how Izanagi works just incase he uses it. Unfortunately she couldn't be trusted since she had stronger ties with Tobi the man Itachi hate the most in the Akatsuki.

I rewatched this fight like 50 times and its still my favorite. The sinister vibes Naurto had was the best. Screw all that good guy crap.

The biggest twist in this anime is "NO ONE IS VILLAIN BCUZ EVERYONE STRIVED&STRUGGLED IN THEIR OWN WAY FOR ONE THING.......PEACE". When madara was betrayed by black zetsu and whatever powers madara had but at that time he proved he is human too by saying "WHERE DID IT GONE WRONG,HASHIRAMA!?" The pain&the loneliness in his voice.

She almost got him! She literally could’ve ended the war 😢

An actual intelligence and hardworking character with no crazy powerful eyes, bloodlines, dna, etc VS plot armor. Kishimoto fr did all of the female cast here dirty😐😐

If Conan knows about Izanagi she would've play safe. She used all her chakra into paper bombs which is countered by Izanagi with little amount of chakra and stab her in the back. Therefore she is not in a good shape for hand to hand combat.

A little bit of both. On one hand, real recognize real. On the other, Deidara has shown jealousy towards more beautiful art than his.

Konan had this planned tf out. She was smart. Just to loose to a broken jutsu.

For those that didn't get it: Obito knew he was about to die and lose the fight, so broke his other half of the mask to activate Izanagi, a "reset" power. Bending reality. Giving him a 2nd chance at the cost of losing sight in that eye. Later throu the series you can see that Obito has Rinnegan in that eye socket.

She probably did have one, for if he survived that. But it being more costly, and him not only having a get out of jail free, but also getting a surprise hit on her probably made it so she couldn't use it. Also, her opening move was paper bombs on her body. He likely wouldn't have fallen for it a second time.

People pump up Konan to be a stronger than she really is, first off she had all the power and buildup in the rain village and baited Obito in that location she prepared the sea of paper explosions, on top of that Obito literally states that he underestimated her which means he didn't take her seriously on top of the massive preparation she had. If she didn't have the sea of papers or they fought in a different place with no prep on either side Obito would demolish her without kamui at all, Konan is low tier Akatsuki while Obito was always insane even before adult.

It was after episode 253 that I finally realised why they believed Naruto's words, aka his Talk no Jutsu. After the ambush and Yahiko's death, Nagato and Konan swore vengeance on the Hidden Leaf and everyone in it because of Danzo. The fact that someone else read the same book that the former read and strived that much for peace made Nagato realize that there was no way that his Sensei would've known or even taken part in a mission such as that and that he should've asked Jiraiya first before killing him. He wasn't even wondering why his Sensei actually thought they were dead in the first place. The mission info wasn't shared with the Sannin and that's why Jiraiya had no idea what he was walking into.

Fucking sharingan. What the hell did the author think when he created that thing.

R Terrell Except that it was revealed that Obito had another Sharingan eye. But whatever, it’s not like he could’ve just scarified his right eye. I say this with hindsight and foresight because it would’ve made it more mysterious to who Tobi was. Obito to Tobi is dumbest name change if you’re trying to keep your identity under wraps. And his right eye hole showing the Sharingan didn’t help. Ever since Obito and Tobi were debuted, with Tobi showing the Sharingan there were theories about them being the same person. And it’s almost as telegraphed as the 4th Hokage being Naruto’s dad.

Konan did absolutely well. No kunuoichi could have fared against him so good. But, Some people think she is Madara's level just by this fight. Which is absolutely bs🤣😂 I will tell you why she did so well. First of all Madara understimated her thinking her as a mere child, which was grave mistake on his part which he acknowledge himself. Second, he wanted her alive to reveal Rinnegan's location so it's hard to just not kill and make them talk of her calibre. Third, she was gonna suicide bomb him, which he didn't think of. Some people saying Izanagi was Asspull and came out of nowhere when it was literally introduced a whole arc before, Madara himself explaining it. If he had intent to kill Konan taking seriously. She would have died long before

No it is not. Jiraiya is one of the most intelligent ninja in his time of living, and he was shocked when Nagato “awakened” the Rinnegan. And I don’t think it was ever stated in history books that only Uchiha had the Rinnegan. Otherwise people in universe would believe that the Sage of Six Paths was an Uchiha just by proxy, since he had the the Rinnegan. Supposedly it is just that the Rinnegan “awakens” when the chakra of Asura and Indra merge, at least from what I read. It just so happens that the people we see them properly belong to are Uchiha because the series has to be about eyeballs. Poor Nagato, got shafted even in death. Not only did the author decide that the Rinnegan weren’t you’re actual eyes, but he also decided you didn’t create the Akatsuki.

Hagoromo was the only person known for having a rinnegan and he wasn't a Uchiha, nobody even knew about madara having a rinnegan except obito. So it wasn't suspicious when the saw nagato with rinnegan cause no one knew how it can be awakened.

@@theomnigamer9177 Yeah. The story got shitty after pain arc. Everything became about wanting Uchihas and shitting on all other characters. Originally rinnegan was supposed to be Nagato's. But then kishimoto decided to wank the uchiha even more and give them the rinnegan even though they already had over powered mangekyo sharingan and ems. Well naruto turned so bad that everyone has a rinnegan in boruto now and it is reduced to the level of substitution jutsu.

The Uchiha don't have the Rennigan, only the Sage of Six paths has it naturally. Madara only awakened it by mixing Uchiha and Senju DNA, it's not his naturally.

Tobi says "only someone with uchiha and senju powers can use this forbidden jutsu" But in the story of itachi, there was this guy who uses izanagi. And this girl uses izanami to save her friend from izanagi obsession. So does that mean, that dude has senju on his body too? Hmm.

Bad writing got her that far lol, no way she could figure out that he can only pass through stuff for 5 minutes with kamui, he had 2 fights up until that point. She also spent months putting those paper bombs there and had a massive advantage and still lost
