    It's refreshing to see my people PROBLEM SOLVE and work through thier issues. It's so easy to stay offended and close minded. It's easy to only want your point to be received, while ignoring all others. I love when we know there is a problem and we STOP AND WORK IT OUT, rather than let it grow to something worst.     This is why I feel the best marriages have to have a foundation of friendship and true mutual respect. Passion, lust, romance, intensity, it's all going to fade, or at the very least, it'll run through cycles. But when you and a close friend have conflict, you really willing to work that shit out. You WANT to see their point of view, and you want them to see yours...not because you want to win the argument or have things your way but because you value that person so much that understanding is so much more important than being right. You WANT to be better for them just as much as you want better for yourself. My husband and I...it's been eighteen plus years and we've been THROUGH IT...we've struggled in our circumstances and our relationship. But MAN. To call him my husband really feels inadequate to me. He is my best friend and PARTNER in every sense of the word. Being 'right' doesn't feel anywhere near as good as the feeling that we've spoken our truth to each other, listened to each other, and are coming out of the experience knowing we've built something that WORKS. NEVER stop building yourself up, building your partner up, and building your bond and friendship with each other. It might look to the outside like a solid marriage that you put work into is a boring, trudging sort of thing. A chore. Something you settle for. In reality, it's an unequaled blessing, a precious gem that daily increases in value, and gifts you with a humbling sense of gratitude.

    Whooooo....just turned 34, learning this as well. Lmao there was a moment 🤣 Tobe face looked lost in the sauce. How I feel, conquering these PEACEFUL COEXISTING adulting tactics. Nobody wants a relationship for 30 years that was horrible to witness, experience, and adopt bad habits from. That was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the moment. I can't imagine how hard it is to continue growing yourself, as a couple as a human being mentally, while simultaneously trying to teach what you learn, at the same time migrating into another level of life and dealing with all of the challenges from operating in that new space.
