To all those who struggle to define "home" (Story 1)

Hi hello this is a bit of a heartfelt, digital storytelling piece on home. For all those who have never experienced homesickness, who don't connect with their hometown, or those who never really had one. I hope you'll find your own meaning of home through this video and learn to cherish it.
Thank you to my friend Ryan for the drone shots!

What's something random that reminds you of home?

Great video! The definition of home has always changed throughout my life so far. It could be a place of comfort, a place of belonging, or just the geographic area (Northern VA, Washington DC, and Maryland). Also just a note. I edited my comment to say "Washington DC".

Wow. I love this video, really needed to see it actually. I was gonna quote something but really everything from 6:10 on hit me so deeply. Really though, letting go of the expectation that one place is going to cradle me perfectly, as you put it. And embracing all the little things that are my home. Kids laughing, the crackling of fire in a wood stove, the sound of a stream, walking through a forest, rain on a metal roof, just taking a walk by myself down the road… all things that remind me of home. But i want to be more aware of the daily things that feel like home to me, and this video sparked that for me. Thanks :)

Having grown up in Australia, lived most of his life in the UAE, currently residing in the US, and moving to Canada. It's hard for me to define what home is. My childhood places could be described in each of your descriptions.

Fantastic video. I think I’ve always had the assumption that Seattle is such a great place because everyone is so in touch with nature. I’d love to visit one day

Totally understand what you are saying, it's the same for people who have been moving around a lot for work or with family. Loved the topic and your treatment of the same. Different perspective on a simple concept.

Good to see your videos after a while. I have thoroughly enjoyed your earlier videos and it's astonishing (or perhaps not) that how little views they receive. You have raised an important question regarding home, especially for people who have lived in different cities or countries throughout their lives. Your video reminded me of Amartya Sen's recent autobiography, Home in the World. The title is based on Rabindranath Tagore's famous novel - The Home and The World. Looking forward to your future videos on thought-provoking topics.
