I taught myself Spanish just for that reason. I didn't like being around my friends not knowing what they were saying.

If u got a real problem with all your spanish speaking friends apeaking THEIR language then EITHER LEARN IT OR LEAVE.

Well, respectfully, to all involved, we must understand that all people have a right to speak their languge. I admit I have worried that I'm being discussed when I was in school and a group of classmates where speaking a language I didn't know. But, I'm sure they may feel the same way when a group is speaking english, if they aren't fluid in the english language, yet. Solution? Respect individuals right to speak their language, and, people could try to learn spanish and english, both are beautiful languages, and will bring all involved closer together...but we shouldn't assume something negative is being said automatically...😊❤✌🏾

Yes, it's not polite. Do it only if one in your group doesn't understand english to communicate. But, I think everyone should try to learn english. My mother was born in America. But, my grandparents only knew Spanish. Grandparents encouraged them to learn it their kids were born in the late 20's through the 30's. Big family. They believed 100 % things would be better for all of them. Both grandparents born in Mexico came to America worked hard bought some land for a little ranch. Unfortunately grandfather died before becoming a U.S. citizen. Grandmother did become a U.S. citizen late in life. Godspeed. Have a blessed day everyone.
