TMC Sport-Gear Step in Visor, Review

Hey everybody welcome back to another episode of Muddy Reviews, in this video, we are checking out the TMC Sport Gear replica of the OPS-CORE Step-In Visor. Before we get into the nitty-gritty I need to remind you we are less than two weeks away from Kinetic Impact Airsofts Blood Money II at D14 in Sanger, TX. Use my code Muddy at the link below for your tickets and get 5$ off. You will need to pre-register because there will be no ticket sales at the door or walk-ons for the event, hope to see you there and onto the review!

Today we are checking out a piece of Airsoft safety gear, the TMC Step-In visor for Ops-Core style helmets. This is an eye pro that has an appealing and High-Speed, low-drag super LARPERATOR look to them but are they any good? I have seen these in use at my local field D14 and I did get these from a reputable Airsoft store. I can tell you after my testing I wouldn't recommend these for use in Airsoft as I don't think the Polycarbonate lens is actually rated for anything. and the design is questionable at best seeing as how there is so many spec issues in repro gear to begin with. In my not-so-humble opinion the Step-In visor from TMC is an accident waiting to happen.
I really hope you watched the video to the end to see all of the results of the testing and got something out for this review. I also hope I may have saved you about 30.00 USD or so on a pair of eye pro that aren't really eyepro. As always folks get out there and play some Airsoft, LARP smarter, Not harder, and don't skimp on your PPE it is meant to help you, and above all else take care.

Fuggin’ YIKES! Boys and girl, listen to Uncle Muddy on this one. If it’s not ANSI rated, don’t wear ‘em.

100 percent! MIL-PRF-32432 and ANSI Z87.1 are the standards to live by for ballistic eye protection.

This was very telling, thanks for the review! I commented on an earlier short about how often I use these, and while I haven’t ran into any of the problems you’ve listed in this video, I am definitely weary of wearing these now. My only question for you is do you know of any better eye pro that mounts similarly to your helmet as these? I really love the lack of a gap on the forehead these provide but I just can’t seem to find a similar option. Help is appreciated!

There were a few other issues discovered after the review. There was a crack developing in the upper corner if the lense as well. As for your eyepro question, I found that when I wear my BOLLE X800 goggles, they sit flush to the front of my helmet and are really comfortable. I have seen on Reddit where this guy was complaining about the lense vents and how a BB apparently slipped through the vent and had his finger shoved under it looking like a derp. I honeslty think his experience was a 1 in a million, and I still recommend the BOLLE X800s.
