Visited Titan Fuel Tanks in Idaho Springs a week ago. Glad I called them as I was in Park City, Utah at the time and drove up (250 miles) to have a 51 gallon tank installed in my F350. Was amazed that the installer who did my truck was the same guy in the video! You couldn't ask for a nicer group of people than at Titan. I kick myself for waiting so long to do this. Really makes driving distances a lot more comfortable! Thanks Titan!

The fuel tank change is easy but sure would have liked to have had a Ford engineer here to get the fuel lines and electrical plug apart once they're full of dryed mud. You can pick away and blow the external parts off but you can't get in where it counts. Damndest fittings I've sèen to get off until they break.

I'm not a huge fan of leaving the tank shield off. Is there a reason to not modify it to work with the new tank?

Our tanks are so durable a shield is not needed. We back that up with our lifetime warranty.

Will the Ford Crew Cab, Short Bed- SUPER SERIES 1999-2007 (7020299) fit on a standard cab long bed?

Will the gas gauge and miles till empty gauge all work normal w the added capacity?

Guage yes. But digital miles to empty will be off until you reprogram .

The gas guage will show full when your new tank is only half full, because the stock setting for the truck is for the standard fuel tank. In order to correctly show how much fuel you have you will need something like the Forscan tool to reprogram your truck for the larger tank.

For some reason my front support bracket is taking all the weight off of the center tank strap, anyone else with this problem?

So no skid plate after install?

WTF in the first place they put such a small tank in a truck ????
