This is the robotic mower you have been waiting for!!! Easy to setup, reliable, fast, great quality cut, and downright cool. Yep sounds like hyperbole, but trust me, this baby delivers the goods in spades.
In this video I review the brand new Mammotion Luba 3000 AWD robot lawn mower. This mower has some very unique features that separate it from it's competitors. First off, you can define areas to cut using the Mammotion app to setup a perimeter (wire free) virtual boundary. It offers four wheel drive so it can cut on steep slopes and handle tough terrain. The Luba 3000 is rated for a lawn up to 3/4 of an acre. If that was not enough it has auto charging, safety and theft protection, obstacle avoidance, and planned mowing routing.
Yeah....it is that awesome :)
Bottom line - I recommended this mower to my mother #HeroSon

A look at the Facebook groups demonstrates these Luba mowers are plagued with software problems, lack local dealer support, have customer support which ignores most enquiries and a "chat" link which doesn't function. They are made by a Chinese kickstart company and appear to be struggling against the likes of bigger more established companies.
Thanks for the review. Looing forward to the comparison review with the EGO XP mower🤣🤣🤣

but of course :)
I had one for a couple of weeks now and the "lift motor" will not engage for setting the height. So this unit will be going to back to Mammotion. I had high hopes for this unit... It looked very promising... It worked great for those two weeks.

@@red32303 That crazy and totally wrong on their behalf... You spend that kind of money and get no type of support... I'll think about your comment before I shell out that type of money again.
Need to test it on a real obstacle course, such as my yard with pine tree roots that stick up so high I have to mow around them or risk topping them with my mower's blade. Don't want to damage the old EGO mower! Wonder how it would do on a slope such as a ditch bank. I feel I would still have a lot of trimming to do. Thanks for the review!

Sure thing - I'm certain you could find some obstacles to stop this mower - but for most yards not on Mt. Everest this thing should work. Thanks for the awesome comment

A likely outcome, especially with obstacles that don't trigger the front bumper sensors, is that it'll keep hitting something with its wheels until the suspension eventually breaks. That's just not something it's meant to be used for. If it's just long roots flat on the ground through there's good chance it'll just run over them without issues if the mowing height is set to max, I've actually just seen a video with such a terrain.
I like the technology and the fact that you don’t have to use a guide wire. I doubt that anyone will be able to get rid of their existing mower especially if you have a property with trees on it. Between sticks and other bigger items falling on the grass, leaves will not be handled by this mower which is obvious by the fact that it really doesn’t do well with long grass..Looks like it would be good for maintenance mowing in the Spring and Summer…when autumn comes and leaves start falling, it will have to be put away…
@Kitearmy

It never deals with long grass since it mowes every day. Once setup it is real good. Leaves will certainly be interesting.
@iruwenevillan

Obviously it can't and isn't meant to handle that kind of terrain, besides the fact that large trees will reduce GNSS coverage and navigation capabilities anyway. I have to exclude areas like below our apple as well. But it absolutely replaces my heavy, loud & stinky petrol mower so I just need a much smaller, battery powered tool.
@Kitearmy

@@iruwenevillan Yeah - I never had any problem on my yard - no apple tree though
The attraction of the idea of a robotic mower is high when I'm continuously looking for cooler than 94° days to mow. But they are still unaffordable. Too bad.

They have cheaper ones but they are....well cheap
I purcashed this on prime day i have nothing but issues with it. It's constantly doing 3 point turns due to thinking grass is objects in the grass. my grass ins't long at all. I installed the rtk system on the roof it looses signal every 5 minutes. I'm going to give it another go but after that i think I'm sending it back. (also my yard is less than a half acre

I noticed that the mower acted a bit weird if the lawn was long. Once I got it cut to the right level it has worked perfectly without any hitch. Yeah you do need to have a good view of the sky for the gps to work. Honestly, I'm thrilled with mine. Give yours another shot

I tried to send mine back, but they aren’t responding. I got fed up and canceled the credit card payment. Lost $50 for the international charge, $30 in interest. It can take 90 days for the cancellation to happen, with it being an international charge, that may never happen. The warranty starts the day they charge the card, so there is only one season left, none on the RTK unit. Customer service is terrible
I didn’t notice, does it have any theft deterrent/GPS tracking? There’s really nothing to stop someone from grabbing this off the lawn when you’re not looking.
@Kitearmy

It does have GPS tracking - but if it is stollen you are probably SOL
It's almost like you need a completely fenced in yard to stealth mow so nobody knows you have itand so they can't steal it.
Looks like not able to do repairs on this should have taken irobot approach modular components for easy repairs

Yes they are but imho they dropped the ball as the one demonstrated uses guide wires! Nobody wants to use guide wires unless you have trees, poor signal.

Has anyone experienced their Luba just shutting down in the middle of a task since this last update? Won’t respond or connect to Bluetooth either if your standing on top of it. Have to activate the on off button before it responds. Still seems to remember where it was at and return to the area it stopped at in the task..have strong RTK and satellite signals also

@@carlsmowerandsaw Just another RTK system with typical RTK issues though. An advantage surely is that spare parts are available, but for me that doesn't justify the price tag, it's obviously and officially targeting professional users. If the Luba breaks I don't feel the need to repair it myself, it's a consumer device.

From a function standpoint, the mower is impressive. But from an engineering standpoint, it is not serviceable. The physical design makes it pretty much unserviceable by the owner, from disassembly, to the availability of parts. For a review of the substandard design, see the following review: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqNmspiLY5CvoM4.html

That's probably partially because of the IPX6 classification, but yeah. I'm not servicing my petrol mower myself either though. I'd definitely not order such a device directly from some Chinese company though, only from a responsible reseller within my jurisdiction.
