Tips on Finding Food Shopping Deals This 4th of July Weekend
Inflation is taking a big bite out of the nation's holiday BBQ plans. Meats and other food prices are at an all-time high which could impact your food-shopping plans for this Fourth of July. To save some money this holiday weekend, buy frozen burgers and load up on cheaper, locally grown vegetables. Also, instead of buying prepared food, like potato salad, make it yourself at home. Chef and food blogger Tori Avey has several tips on how to serve healthy, delicious meals that won't break the bank. They include grilling chicken instead of red meat, and preparing a low-cost grilled vegetable salad.

I am 30, and my family has a reunion twice a year, one on the 4th of July. Our grill out always has steak, chicken, burgers, frog legs, brats, hot dogs, and all the sides and desserts and stuff. Sometimes turtle, occasionally jerky. I'm from a family with 50+ people and everyone brings something they love so there's always variety and enough to go around.
