Great advice with the pictures. After all, "story boarding" is the way most talented directors tell their movies. I love that letter you send home to parents. I am sharing this video with my son who is a teacher. I love your ideas.

Thank you Susan. You have given me so many amazing ideas. I teach kindergarten and I love children's books, authors and literacy in general. Next week I am going to talk about visualizing with my students. This was inspired from one of your previous videos. I am going to read "Two Bad Mice" which you recommended. That is a wonderful new book discovery for me. I am always looking for great new books. I am then going to segue into writing their own story using the worksheet from this video. I think the visualization skills combined with the ideas in todays video will help them to write/illustrate their own story!

*"Two Bad Ants" by Chris Van Allsburg is the name of the book!!

I am in a grad class about the Writer's Workshop. I have to find some other resources to use other than the class textbook and this was a really great video! Thank you for the ideas and tips! :)
