I have used hot glue to mount the camera to the frame of the Da Vinci Pro machine. If you use very transparent hot glue, then it sticks better then the glue that is a bit more white. Extra tip, to remove hot glue, inject some IsoPropyl Alcohol (IPA) into the glue. It will loss it's strength and you can just peal it away. Groeten terug, uit Lelystad.

nice video I didn't know about the cover sliding on the sd card. What I did was get a micro sd to sd card adapter it is a cable about 16 in long and mounted the sd card part above the cables at the side of the case so that I can remove the sd card without opening the back.

Sounds good. Does that give you the possibility to write .3w files to the SD card and print via SD?

You have to take it out and plug into a pc to write files to it.I am thinking of making with other splicer and saving gcode files to it and then printing them.If I save it as SAMPLE01.GCODE I can just put it in and tell it to print the first sample

Hi. What file / schematic did you use to make the 2 cooling fans ?

  • @3dPrintCreator

Hi, I used the files on my thingiverse account (in the description) www.thingiverse.com/thing:1723418 and no schematics, because it's only a 5 volt wire through a switch to turn the fans on or off.

I have a recurrent problem with my Da Vinci 1.0 Pro. it happens that filament scrapes the tube where it passes through. Plus happens the same with the orifice of the cartridge. they are too worn. do you have some comments?

The parts you are mentioning do wear out. You can easily replace them with replacement parts of a better quality.

Wish I could find them on the Internet. i called the shop where I bought them and they say the brand is Festo. You can recognize them due to their blue release ring. When I am home, and I don't have to do the search on my phone, I will dig deeper.

Hi, I never had that machine so I don't know. Can you send a print job to it via the computer and then disconnect the computer while printing? If so, there is an SD card inside.

What are the benefits of upgrading the MicroSD Card? Faster upload speeds when sending jobs to the printer?

Hi Kelanel, There is no benefit from upgrading, but a lot of people have had problems with their SD cards. It's one of the most discussed errors on Thingiverse in the Da Vinci user group and there was no video on how to replace it yet.

Fat32 is how the original card is formatted, so that is how i formatted my replacement Samsung 8GB SDHC card. Don't forget to copy the files off the old one and back to the new one after formatting.

Hi. I bought a 100Mb/s 32GB PNY SD card, and replaced the standard SD card. I had problems, where the machine stoppede many times for about 1 sec, when doing contours. And it did many bumps that way. After opgrading the card, the machine runs smooth and fast. Just replace, no need to copy card...

Confirm for yourself how much force you need to break a piece of filament by moving it sideways. You will need the same amount of force to remove the hot end cartridge and break the filament.

Well, sorry to say, but I skip this affiliate link because this are the $ 0,50 push fit connectors I am warning about in the video. Buy proper ones, and no, they are not cheap. They cost way more. I bought them locally in the Netherlands, and had to pay 3 Euro each for the backpanel fitting and 4 Euro for the double fitting in the carriage. They have the blue tops and are made for higher pressure.

3d Print Creator Just trying to help.it's not anything that benefits me. I don't have an affiliate account with Amazon. but I understand what you are getting at. that link at least gives the dimensions though for fitment, if you have a recommendation, please post it and I will edit the link. that said, these have lasted 6 months without any sign of wear for me.

Hi Kelanel, Sorry if I wrongly accused you for sending an affiliate link. The link has a referrer (ref=cm_sw_su_dp) and is shortened, most of the times this are affiliate links. But for your information also, the blue fittings are for higher pressures and work much more reliable then the black ones, I am told. The blue fittings are a little more expensive, but not that much. For what I have seen, almost every black fitting has it's top broken off (the disconnect ring) and I have never seen that from a blue one.
