Tineco Pure ONE S12 Review: S12 vs. S12 Plus vs. S12 M vs. S12 M Lite

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The S12 is a new cordless vacuum by Tineco, but is it worth the money? Our Tineco Pure ONE S12 review answers (also including S12 vs. S12 Plus vs. S12 M vs. S12 M Lite comparison).
Buy Tineco S12 - geni.us/LmtZAp (Amazon)
The Tineco Pure ONE S12 cordless stick vacuum is a 2-in-1 model with smart integration, like wifi-connectivity, an LED display and smart suction. Overall, it performed well in our cleaning tests, scoring 100% in 11 out of 12 tests. It’s jam packed with smart features, has an incredibly long 100 minute run time, a ton of accessories, and is definitely one of the best cordless vacuums we’ve tested to date.
The Tineco S12 has quite a few smart features that help to separate this vacuum from the pack. The most notable smart features on this vacuum include:
Intelligent Suction: Smart sensors allow the Tineco to automatically adjust suction depending on the level of debris. The suction can also be adjusted manually by a simple sliding control on the body of the vacuum.
Wifi Control: The Tineco S12 is wifi-enabled which shows cleaning performance, battery info, and filter maintenance directly from your smartphone (when connected to the Tineco app).
LED Display: There is an LED display on the in-hand portion of this vacuum which shows all the details of a cleaning cycle as well as filter maintenance and other performance specs.
Tineco S12 review summary:
Exceptional Performance: Despite the issues on cereal on hardwood floor, the Tineco S12 is still one of the best cordless vacuums we’ve tested to date. It removed 100% of 11 out of 12 debris cleaning tests on 3 different floor types. The motor creates more than enough suction to clean everything in the home.
LED Display: The Tineco S12 includes an integrated LED display on the body of the vacuum that shows remaining run time, cleaning performance, and maintenance notifications.
Smart Suction: This vacuum also has adjustable suction. When in auto mode, the suction will adjust automatically based on debris level or you can adjust it manually at any time using the simple sliding control on the body of the vacuum.
Lots of Attachments: The S12 includes an impressive number of attachments and the presentation of these attachments in the box is organized, detailed, and easy to understand. Unboxing was simple and I was immediately impressed with the number of configurations available.

    Does this have an “on” button, instead of holding it down all the time ? my hands aren’t great and I’m looking for a vacuum I don’t have to hold on all the time . Thank you!

    Not an "on" button, but pretty close. It has a trigger, but then it also has a locking mechanism (similar to the lock on a gas pump when you're filling up).

    Can you answer how much better the direct drive is compared to the standard one that comes with the m and m lite models

  • @ModernCastle

    @ModernCastle

    5 жыл бұрын

    Unfortunately, I cannot. We only tested the Pure One S12 standard version. However, we have tested Dyson's V-series vacuums that have a similar tiered model system with direct drive vs. more basic brushrolls. The different is usually around 5% in total cleaning performance.

  • @blackice7408

    With a direct drive head,you will experience a more powerful brush head that can dig down into carpet fibers more and will not slow down as easy as a belt driven head on a stick vacuum. Plus you dont have to worry about belt replacements. And typically, because the motor will be within the brush head (thus making it direct drive), the brush will be thicker and bigger which will help it resist hair tangles more

    In your personal opinion should I buy a S12 M Lite, A11 hero, or Dyson V10 animal? I'm cleaning a 2400 sq ft home that has 70% hardwood floor and 30% vinyl cushion floor (no carpet). Opinion/input appreciated, Thank you!

  • @ModernCastle

    Between those 3 I would suggest the Dyson V10 Animal. However, even better would be the Dyson V10 Absolute - amzn.to/2VDpAz2 - It's actually less expensive than the Animal V10 is right now (not sure how long that's going to last). The V10 Absolute includes the soft roller brush, which is going to be the best cleaner head for your home since you have all hard surfaces.

    @@xxtleee So...don't get me wrong, the S12 is an amazing vacuum and will offer improved performance over the A11 Hero. That said...if the price difference is double then I think it's a no brainer, go with the A11 Hero. A11 Hero is a very solid cordless vacuum. Given you don't have carpets or pets it's even more clear. S12 would be better, but it's overkill for your needs.

    @@ModernCastle thank you for your answer... I have to make decision which one to keep.. If the tineco had the Dyson suction, or the Dyson had the tineco features... that would be easy lol. At the end, I think Dyson will be easier to deal with when it comes to customer service and problems.. Tineco, just reading some reviews doesn't sound that great in that department (customer service). I am also not sure if their dust detection sensor is that great? I found myself to ramp the suction up, just to make sure things are sucked in.

  • @ModernCastle

    @ModernCastle

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@XL_BEAR Yeah, I agree, I think you hit the biggest differences. Dyson has more suction power and better customer service (at least in the US, not sure how it is elsewhere). Perhaps Tineco will get there in time. The other features on the Tineco are certainly really cool from a usabilty standpoint, but at the end of the day they are both machines for cleaning and the suction power of the Dyson is likely to yield better cleans for most people.

  • @XL_BEAR

    Modern Castle for me this substitute a corded vacuum, that’s why Dyson takes advantage here. If tineco was $200, I would get it. But being $429 now, and Dyson v11 $499 with free tool kit from Dyson.... it’s hard to justify keeping tineco. Also, I love that Dyson doesn’t go back to auto mode, which is so annoying on tineco. I also found Dyson ON/OFF stopper on amazon for $12, which pretty much works just like the one on tineco. The only missing thing will be LEDs.

    @@XL_BEAR I wish I could buy them for the prices you mentioned. Living in Greece my only option is buying Tineco through Amazon, which, for the latest model, will cost me around 700...! (price & shipping combined) The prices for the cheaper models do not differ that much. And the Dyson models, although some are available on the greek market, are no much cheaper either. And it is a lot of money to spend on a vacuum, just because they are cordless. 😕

    I believe just the 2nd. At this point I don't think it's just our phone. Problems with the Molekule app are widely documented. • @ModernCastle

    @ModernCastle

    5 жыл бұрын

    I'm not sure I'd say it's useless. You're not going to have 100% transfer from 1 filter to the other. A portion is going to go into the dust bin.

    Still means that you're not really actually cleaning the filter. The thing can only work when there's sufficient cyclonic separation, which the Tineco doesn't have -- or if the filter is mainly clogged with large debris, not fine dust (which is unlikely).
