Tineco Pure ONE S12 Review

Note that this review also very much applies to the Pure ONE S12 Plus. The Plus model adds a soft roller cleaner head, two extra attachments, and is a different color. Otherwise, it's identical to the regular Pure ONE S12 we tested for this review.

    After doing a lot of research I purchased a Tineco PureOne S12 EX in February 2021. All I can say is that it has been Excellent! Our house is 95% hard floors, but we do have some area rugs. It cleans them all very well. The vacuum is quiet, powerful, and lightweight. The powered brush heads are slim enough to fit under most pieces of furniture which makes cleaning under beds, sofas, and tables a breeze. Battery life has also been excellent. We can clean our entire 2,500 sq/ft home with power to spare. The 2 included removable batteries are awesome. My wife and I highly recommend this vacuum.

    Passes the filtration test he said? I don't think so! Don't buy one if you live in Phoenix! Why? Because the dust will get into the motor housing like mine did! It's a good vacuum for carpet, but bare floors and dog hair? Forgret it! The static electricity from this thing is unbelievable! You have to go over the bare floor again and again because of the static. I would NOT recommend this stick vac. It lasted me two years. The motorhead failed because of the dust, the dust bin failed because the sensor shorted out. And the soft brush for bare floors is a weak chunk of garbage. The bristles on the brush tool bend so badly, it goes out of shape permanently after a few uses!

    Had mine for almost 2 years (10/2019), it's great. Battery life hasn't suffered noticeably yet, and my house is mostly hardwood/laminate floors with a 9'x12' rug in the living room (1146 sq/ft, 3 bed/2 bath). I have a cat and it does great on pet hair, too.

    Informative. I just bought Tineco S12 Pro with soft roller for 499.99 Best Buy Canada. I have wood floors to vacuum, so I’ will probably be exchanging my original purchase for the cheaper Tineco S11 which gets higher marks for its performance on hardwood floors.

    Hey consumer analysis! Great video, I posted this on another video but I am eager to get your reply as my return warranty for my unit is about to run out. I wanted to ask that I have purchased the Austin air unit to rid my bedroom of harmful gases and VOC’s. However I am wondering I also want to rid the dust and allergens in the same bedroom with the Winix you recommend. But does my current Austin air healthmate already have as good particle filtration for dust as the Winix and there is no need to buy 2 different units to compensate? Is the Austin air the same level of particle dust filtration as the Winix as well as more gas filtration? Or does Winix perform much better in dust filtration and is cheaper as the main difference? Thanks!

  • @consumer-analysis

    I just purchased the S11 as it was on sale on amazon prime and £20 less than the A11 Master. I went with the S11 due to the Auto detect mode which appealed to me to save battery life, although you dont get the extra battery or hard floor roller. Currently on sale at £230. How does this compare with the A11 and S12 or should i have gone for the A11 Master?

    But the filtration system. The filtration is so basic, comparable to the cheapest cordless vacs available. Though it helps in being quiet and the vac will never clog with proper maintenance, one has to clean the filter everyday for proper usage unlike with those with decent cyclone impelementation. The Tineco therefore is only good for cheaper models.

  • @seastoday

    I think this is potentially a great vac. One significant issue is its inability to vacuum very low pile carpet. We have a large Ruggable rug in our family room, two cats and a golden retriever. This vac just won’t work on it. Tineco cust service has been responsive, but has offered no viable solution. I guess I’ll have to return it, which is a pain and try something else.

  • @consumer-analysis

    Are you referring to it being hard to push on low pile rugs? If so, you can try running the vacuum on low power so it pushes forward more easily.

  • @consumer-analysis

    @consumer-analysis

    3 жыл бұрын

    Based on my testing and experience (even though I haven't tested the A10, specifically), I couldn't say that you'd see much of a difference at all. I say this because almost all of the cordless vacuums I tested tangled to about the same extent. I would need to do additional more nuanced testing (with different lengths and different quantities of hair) to potentially see any difference between different models.

    @@consumer-analysis Thanks for the response! From my research it seems a larger diameter brush allows for less hair tangles generally. Tineco doesn't use this bigger brush until the S12 line. I rolled the dice on the LG A9 simply because of a killer deal I found so we'll see how it does with hair tangles in the real world. I was so close to purchasing the A11 yesterday when it went on sale around $180.

At this price point, I rather grab a Dyson, I bought a refurbed v11 for $500 and it’s been going strong for more then a year now. Nothing really compares to it, not even the s12, purchased the s12 thinking it would be the top Dyson replacement but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Time to look for another deal on a refurbed Dyson v11.
