Have you used the roborock S8 maxv?
I have the Stratos and the Dyson Ball 3. Occasionally you can get the Ball 3 (Costco Version) for under $300 which makes it cheaper than the Stratos. With that said I like them both. If I need to clean my stairs I tend to go for the Stratos. I love the suction power of the Dyson and am amazed after 3 iterations they havent done anything with the hose. The Dyson does not stand up well when pulling on the hose and I find it very clunky to use. I would have no issues recommending either though.
great test THANKS !
You are welcome!
Can you test shower head filter. Thank you!
I appreciate the suggestion! I'll add that to our list.
I didnt see the dreame x40
We haven't tested it when this video launched, but you can find our review here - moderncastle.com/robot-vacuums/dreame-x40-ultra-review/
After watching this video I've decided to return my Dyson v15 and pick this one up instead. Thank you!
My pleasure! Glad the video was helpful.
bro ., please give me some advice buy q8 max or add more 100$ to s8 basic? orrr save 100$ less for s7? which one is the best choice for this case? for my first robot (moping and vacuum)
I'd go with S8 I like the Q series, but it doesn't beat the S8. For $100 extra it feels like a no brainer to me.
@@ModernCastle oh well, by the way a few people complain about s8 doubel brush can't pick a small dust as good as s5 single, is it true?
@@RiantoEffendi Based on our testing, that is not true. S8 was perfectly fine with small debris.
@@ModernCastle oh ok thankss, bythewy s8 and s7maxV have a same price here. still s8?
@@RiantoEffendi Bit of a toss up...S7 MaxV has better navigation, but the S8 has moderately better cleaning.
Yhanks for your opinion
You're welcome
Hold on here. Why does the baseline air quality change? Doesn't that make the specifications sort of meaningless?
In an ideal world we'd have perfect control over baseline air quality. And while we have gained more control over the years, we still test in a home-type environment to create more of a real world use case. As a result, there is some variance in the baseline. That said, we conduct our tests with an exceedingly generous amount of time for the unit to purify what is a fairly small space. As a result, any variance that exists at the baseline has more than enough time to be a non-factor by the conclusion of the 1 hour test.
F*CK YEAH - UK MADE!! UK UK UK UK
How come you don’t have/mention PFAS results when PFAS are very common in city tap water
It requires a separate laboratory test that we did not run and did not have the budget for.
@@ModernCastle thanks for taking the time to answer. Try and find a way to get some funding to lab test PFAS because you are better suited to lab test them because you’re based in a city.
@@nellyb.9340 You're welcome
@@ModernCastle P.S: if budget is a serious constrain perhaps you could lab test the PFAS only and leave the other channel to test the rest. Just an idea
@@nellyb.9340 Perhaps if we do future testing we'll go that route
Trying to decide between the Oransi Mod+ vs. LEVOIT Core 600S, as the main floor unit For an open floor plan 4,000 Sq Ft home. I would like to keep the price point to $500 or less. Please let me know if you would suggest any other unit. Thank you, and great review!
I'd go with Oransi Mod+ I like Levoit as a value purifier, but if you've got the budget for it then absolutely, the Oransi is the better choice. The build quality alone makes it superior.
@@ModernCastle Thank you! So my wife wanted to try the Shark NeverChange first since Costco had them. But do you have any thoughts on the Oransi Mod+ vs the Shark NeverChange? I’m primarily looking for a unit that can handle a 4,000 Sq Ft home, Can tackle dust, pet hair, and basement mold. If the Oransi Mod+ or the Shark NeverChange can handle these requirements, great. Otherwise, is there another unit you would recommend for my specifications? Thank you again!
@@Viva0331 Neither of those units can handle 4,000 sq. ft. You'd want at least 3 units to handle that space. Between those two, I would opt for the Oransi Mod+. It's just the stronger performer and stronger build quality.
I like this review since I am thinking about getting the RUBIK I 4 seat 3 ottoman. I guess I am curious about dog hair and how well it is to clean? Also theoretically couldn’t you just put 2 inch memory foam inside the cushion if it was to firm?
I found it super easy to clean. Just run a vacuum over it every so often. And sure "theoretically" you could replace the cushions with memory foam, but I would guess that would be a huge project. If you're planning on buying a new sofa and immediately replacing the cushions why not just buy a different sofa?
@@ModernCastle it’s hard to find storage sofas and the colors are nice. I like how clean it looks. I am saying you could just apply cushion pillows to sit on or add memory foam in the already existing cushions.
Did you use epic nano or epic pure?
Pure
Is the soft head brush available for the v11 outsize?
Yes, but you'll need to buy it seperate.
Why is the video bitrate so comically low?
Seems like KZread has massively degraded the bitrate. What we uploaded was significantly higher than what KZread is playing back now. Sorry about that. Not sure how to fix it.
Can you recommend anyone for Uber sink water filter for bacteria and parasites that actually works? I need it for my family in Dominican Republic the well water is making them sick
Unfortunately, we haven't yet tested any filters that are designed for well water. As a result, I don't have any good recommendations. Sorry :(
nice
Thanks
None!!! Plastic in contact with water is carcinogenic.
Excellent comprehensive review covering both the positives and the negatives of the vacuum. I'm subscribing because I will be in the market for a mattress soon. Keep up the good honest work.
Thank you for your kind words! Glad you found the video helpful and thanks for the sub!
have you performed any tests of lidar robots vacuums using ramps to get into sunken living rooms? I have two steps going down into the other half of my house and don’t want to buy a second vacuum..
Unfortunately, we haven't done any testing with ramps. Seemingly that should work fine, but I'm not certain.
Mine just stopped working about 4 month mark, still charges. Any ideas?
Most common issue would be clogs. Check the in-take and check the filters. And of course empty / clean the dust ibn.
AI robot products with goods cooperation, interested in private reply thank you!
Why show vacuums your not reviewing? Where is the review of the oreck?
We're showing all the ones we tested. The ones in the video are the models that made the list for "best 2024". You can see the Oreck tests and review here - moderncastle.com/vacuum-cleaners/oreck-commercial-xl-review/
At 4:10 is shows that you connect to an air visual app. Does this device have all the sensors indications shown on board such as the CO2 sensor or is this data coming from another source?
Most of those are coming from another source. The on-board sensor only has particulate sensors and more basic sensors.
Which adopter is to be used in india for power supply
I'm unsure on that. You would need to ask Roborock directly.
Also glad to see you guys finally gave in and did a Dreame video 😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
You don’t replace the mop pads or filters? Those cost 💲
Right out of the box, our Dyson Gen5Absolute had a rattle in the carpet cleaning head. Customer service conceded that the part is out of stock with no date for when it will be available (this is a HUGE problem with Dyson), so the unit had to be replaced. Dyson offered to ship us an exchange as soon as UPS received the defective unit. We recorded this conversation. Nevertheless, the next day, after we delivered the defective unit to UPS, customer service informed us that this was untrue. Dyson would not do an immediate exchange, but would ship a new unit only after it received and processed the unit, which would take up to 3 weeks (while Dyson sat on our money and the warranty triggered by our initial purchase continued to run.) In short, Dyson lied. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was assured that supervisor would call me back. No call. Dyson lied again. Even before we bought the unit, we got a bad taste of Dyson’s honesty. Customer service assured us that Dyson would price-match QVC’s sale price. This, too, proved to be untrue. Yet another lie. The vacuum may be great, but beware of Dyson. False assurances and unavailable replacement parts are a REAL problem.

It would be a lot easier for us to hear the filters if you did not include background music. ;-)
Yep...sorry about that. Huge oversight on my part.
I would love to know your thoughts on the Winix T810 🙏
I'll add that one to our list!

thank you!!! ive never used a vacuum before bc we have hardwood floors and bro… after using the vacuum my floor looks so shiny compared to using a broom. Only complaint is that its a pain to use and idk if i recommend it to someone with back pain

I have tall ceilings, and really bad allergies. Do you think I should go with the Winix 5500 ????💭
It's a great air purifier, provided it is sized to your space. Is your home around 360 sq. ft.? If so then Winix 5500 is perfect. If not, then you want to go with a larger cover unit.
Where did you get those goofy looking shoes shown at about 9:12 into the video. Theyre hilarious.😂
I think we ordered them from - www.customizeelitesocks.com/
Why do you have music playing when trying to show us the difference in how loud the units are on high vs low.
It was an oversight on my part. Sorry about that.
I'm compelled to test the Kruger brand gallon water jug from Fry's. I also want to test our well water. We did set up filtration canisters out by the well, but I'm still skeptical and use a Brita or just buy the kroger jugs of water. I've been skeptical of Zero water for a long time. I'm glad you cleared that up. Thank you for the research!
My pleasure. Glad the video was helpful!
S8 basic model doesnt cost much more. And is better.
True
I don't think I would buy a robot that comes with a handheld.
It does end up making the base station super large.
You missed a pretty important feature. *Powered* lift away.
Did we? Sorry about that oversight.

4:10 the j7 has a flashlight
I just brought a Dyson V8, but I am very very disappointed. It only works for a bit LESS than 6 minutes on maximum suction. Is this normal?
That is normal. Even the newest / best cordless vacuums only last 8-10 minutes on max.
Is the spreadsheet still available? I can't find the link in the comments.

How the hell do you have uranium in drinking water???
Uranium is common in many parts of the US, especially the Southwest. It's naturally occurring within the ground.
It's called planet Earth. It's present in virtually all rocks soil and water. As are the other elements
What about their under counter? No plastic carafes.
We haven't tested them yet. No reason to believe they would be any different in terms of performance though.
