Glad she realized she needed to let that pain out. Because she helped a lot of women and men. She needed to heal. Tina never went to therapy It is amazing she healed on her own.

The film added stuff and gave stuff for a more dramatic effect. The Book was more detailed and more real. The film added stuff and subtracted stuff. For instance the film made you think that Tina's two kids were from Ike. But only her last kid was from Ike. Her first kid was from Raymond Hill a guy who sang and played in the Ike and Tina Turner Revue Band.

If it was a mini-series, maybe there would have been time to go into those details. Explaining all that would have made the movie too hard to follow. Raymond Hill ran away before the baby was born. Also, Ike and Tina have both said repeatedly that Ike never hit her with his hands. He was a guitarist and couldn't risk breaking a finger. He hit her with objects. Her first beating was with a wooden shoe stretcher to the head.

@@sparklysparkle8966 where did you get that they fought each other? That's not true, she was severely abused, it's in her book. Gladys Knight also mentioned in her book that Ike hat tried to shove a wooden coat hanger down Tina's throat, do you really think Tina would dare fight back such a violent, dangerous man?

i think tina knows deep down that ike will remain a part of her forever more, and that is pretty darn tragic. sure, she has had major success post-ike and started a new positive life with no abuse, and new love, BUT ultimately people still ask her about ike so unfortunately there is no way tina could escape the memory of ike. i think her positive attitude keeps her going, and her new husband, her faith, and new found wealth etc BUT ultimately ike has remained with her like a gloomy shadow. i suppose ike brought both good and bad to her life and perhaps in some small way she appreciates what ike did for her, plus they had a child together.

True. Tina admitted in her last interview that she still thought about Ike a lot and even cried over him. She said Ike still made her emotional.

I don't wanna call her out, but she's said over and over again that she never saw the film. so, how does she know about the cinematography of a film if u never looked at it? I was waiting for her to say "I was told...." or something cuz im sure her team was reviewing it but her dislike of it seems first hand as if she saw it but was unimpressed by the cinematography. Just curious 🤔.

I’m sure she’s seen clips of the movie. She gave a recent podcast interview with Oprah in 2018 and said she tried to watch it all the way through, but turned it off because it wasn’t the way things happened or how things looked.
