LYRICS:
We follow, we follow until it’s our turn to die
We’re slowly marching to our suicide
instead of living tell me what to do
instead of dreaming let me die for you
If I could see the darkness in the minds
And their tainted eyes, I'd make it right
We're marching, we’re marching to the beat of genocide
We're killing at the whims and tides
Of a nation fractured at the seams
Breaking apart for the world to see
Break free from controlled reality
And fight your way from this
To get away from it
I'm losing my mind have I lost my sight
If this quicksand has gone over my eyes
How can I see anything
We're shadows, we're shadows in the current enterprise
Of institutions made to control your lives
We’re inside breeding, concocting all the lies that we use
To control your minds
Break free from controlled reality
And find your way from this
To get away from it
I'm losing my mind have I lost my sight
If this quicksand has gone over my eyes
How can I see anything
But I cannot find a better way
From all the better things
That you give to me
Oh no, not I
Could not find a better way
From all the better things
That you give to me
If I could see the darkness in the minds and their tainted eyes, I’d make it right

Is that a backhanded compliment
@punchout2418

@@eyesofnightI meant it as a compliment compliment. It would only be backhanded if you're not a fan of 90's music. Tim and I are relatively close in age so I imagine we both were influenced by a lot of the same music.

“Controlled reality” is such a good phrase to contrast with the word truth. Also, the progression of the video is excellent with the perfect ending. Love the scrolling text throughout, too.

Goodbye 2022. Hello new possibilities. This music is part of that journey for me.
I never comment on these things, but, I seriously love this song and the nostalgic vibes of it. It brings me back to the 90s when things were simple, yet, talks about real issues in the media. I also like that it wasn’t one sided and you showed media on both sides in the video. I have listened to this song many times already and shared with some people as well! Welcome to the party! This scene is made of an eclectic mix of conservatives, libertarians, disillusioned liberals, but we all have one thing in common: we are independent thinkers, skeptics of power structures and institutions, and we are pragmatic, intelligent conversationalists!
