This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzread.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

Getting Howard and the guys to build the timber frame may be a big added expense but it’s worth it because you’ll get done in a month what would have taken you a year and even then you probably couldn’t do it alone with the size of the timbers. It’s looking amazing so far.

Kris, I'm always sooooo impressed with your work man. You have so much talent, especially when it comes to carpentry and other trade skills. I know you're working with a crew that is helping you get it done n all but you guys are doing some absolutely amazing work. I really can't wait til this project is completed and you have your barn all done. I remember when I first started watching your videos. Right away I was simply blown away by so many things. You started living in a tent... now you have the roundhouse, the out house / shower, timber framed spring fed green house, your own solar power panels, that amazing earthbag dual work shop... You're raising animals, and also built all the housing for them.. I only listed a few things but you my friend, are a VERY determined, smart and crafty individual. I really can't put into words how impressed I, and I'm assuming so many others are, by all this amazing work you've done.... I'm a big Kris Harbour fan lol Keep on grinding out the hard work my brother... so amazing Kris Big supporter from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Jeff Deming 😀

i've watched some boat building and find it incredible, all the maths behind it, attention to detail, the love that goes into it, but when i normally consider building structures, with bulk standard mortis and tenant joints, you rarely consider the effort gone into them, in this video we clearly see a dedicated team paying special attention to the most minute details of making it all look so right, every joint fitting so snugly, and not forgetting that when it looks right it will last forever i remember when i used to visit the family friends farm as a kid, the outbuilding seemed so rough, the beams had aged over hundreds of years and still stand today, and the joints often seemed to have such huge gaps, i wonder if back then they took as much care as we might today, and i often see in programs such as Kevin McCloud's tv series, how such dying trades have become so much more specialised in their dedicated subjects - and i think the use of modern tooling such as mortis cutters have made a massive difference, i know when i have cut them how much effort goes into it and making them look right
