@@Shiann444 No offense but I agree here about her. Mostly majority of Gen-X generation and elder millennials feel this way about Aaliyah, they put her on a high high pedestal like never before. She was vocally not there at all. She was pretty and had cool r&b songs that’s about it. I liked her songs but was not this huge fan. Her live vocals were really bad. Aaliyah's "Try Again" was her only No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart but other Aaliyah songs were hits on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. I believe Destiny Child’s as a group was more far accomplished than Aaliyah. Even when she was alive they outsold her albums and had way more accomplishments also more radio airplay than she did. She never appealed to mass commercial success, she was more in the R&B market.
