Growing up in a Hispanic religious family, I wasn’t allowed to be who I am now. So when I discovered Nicki (listening to bed rock on the radio) I fell in LOVE! When she dropped pink Friday in 2009 I was devastated because I couldn’t buy the album, the theme was pink and girly and my parents weren’t having that. I made my cousin buy the cd and I would run to her house down the street to listen to it, I had just started high school and that was the beginning of Nicki Minaj being a huge part of my life. I found confidence through her, I felt powerful, felt like there was someone out there doing it for me… Nicki you deserve this so much.

Same with me, my parents didn’t allow me to listen to Nicki nor get/ buy me things like her albums/perfume now that im an adult i can get everything without an issue and im still listen to her till this day. I absolutely love her so much 😭💕 first song i hear was knock out

For real I think Nicki and Lauryn don't make the same type of music. Styles are in two types of stratospheres it's like a Nina Simone and Summer Walker collab it dont make sense lol... I don't want to hear Lauryn on nickis style of music and I don't want to hear Nicki on Lauryn's style of music. The collabs IMO Nicki should do with legends Adina Howard, Patra and that lady she dont like *Cooouuugggh* lil kim but it'll never happen and I'm sad about it.
