People make fun of Tim Vine. You try writing ten original puns a day until you have an hours worth, trying them out, chucking out half of them and writing new ones until you have a tight hour. The man deserves a medal!

My favourite British stand-up comedian. And good English practice for me, because he's so fast, and uses British idioms (I'm Finnish), he's full of it. My tendency is to like the language jokes - so my Finnish favourite is Ismo Leikola. He's done some stand-up in English in UK, and other Anglophone countries, now mainly in USA.
