I’ve just come across this in 2024 - she has just joined the cabinet of the newly elected Labour government. Her attitude to democracy will come back to haunt her - as we’ve been told in the last few days, local opposition to house building will be overruled. They forget that as MPs they are elected locally . If you have too much contempt for those that elect you, you won’t last. Lots of the Labour cabinet have been shown in the last few years have all individually stood with their local residents against proposed building projects due to the local impact. They now have to turn round and tell them - never again… but still vote for me.

As more and more time passes the biases of the BBC become more and more obvious. It needs to go. It’s been there all my life and I would never have thought the day would dawn when I would believe that the complete ‘fairness’ and independence of the BBC would be called into account. But now …it’s a different world. When you have to go to other countries news websites because the BBC doesn’t cover or even look at subjects that don’t mesh with eg current government or political thinking. And heaven help you if you vary from the BBC’s own cultural ‘rules’. (And they are rules) We live in a one sided world…that is if you look to the BBC for your news.

Arresting the main perpetrators and the consultant psychiatrist who is allowing this toxic culture is going to send a clear message, it's YOUR turn to be afraid; especially when they're arrested at work and marched out with their hands cuffed behind their backs. Then get a crisis management team in to clean up the unit and remove all remaining abusers as well as would be abusers.
