Tim Rattles his Rattlebacks

Ғылым және технология

A rattleback (also known as a celt or a wobblestone) is a type of spinning top that will spin in one direction, but when you spin it the other way it will slow down until it stops, wobbling along its length, and will then spin in the opposite direction.
Originally seen as mysterious, they are now regarded as an interesting piece of physics. One of the original papers explaining how they work was presented at the Royal Society in London in 1988.

Het Thakkar The subject of the sentence is a noun clause, which means the subject in the noun clause is followed by a possible auxiliary and the main verb. This noun clause itself acts as the subject of the sentence, which is itself a positive and assertive sentence - not a (non-assertive) question. A (yes-no) question inverts the the subject and auxiliary. I hope that clarifies it for you. Best regards, Your grammar and syntax Nazi.

***** Thats only about 1150 USD... Good position? Relative to what? I agree that is a lot for a chunk of ill balanced wood, but is that really high for a months pay in germany? That is roughly 1/3 of the average monthly income in america, in fact, that would likely qualify you for foodstamps and damn near what the US calls the poverty line(about 1000 USD a month) and would be heavy poverty in some states.(Up to nearly 2000 USD in some states without medicaid).

The Euro was introduced in 2001. Around that time, 2000DM was an adequate salary let's say for a shop clerk, full time, but not for anything I would call a "good position". Even as a qualified worker ("Facharbeiter"), e.g. for CNC turning, you would already gross about twice that, on a 35 hour work week.
