I'm just a random visitor to your channel after having watched your ostrich egg cooking video, but I saw some of your cancer videos and I'm very glad that you've beaten cancer and maintained your great sense of humor throughout the years! It was quite a rollercoaster going through your channel but hopefully you stay healthy sir :)

Thank you so very much. I had never really thought of it before, but I suppose going through the events of my life in short order would be a serious roller coaster. Well, such is life. I am glad to have survived, and I am glad you are here. Cancer is a horrible beast, and for those of us fortunate enough to survive, it does change a person. I have tried to channel that change to positive change to the extent possible. Paul

Thank you! We are. And speaking of healthy, it feels good to be getting out and get some sort of exercise again. I think I had forgotten just how physical yard work and gardening could be.

Yeah we are pretty serious about this garden. I detest mowing grass, and I love growing food, so this is sort of the natural net result.

Well, it's a big garden, and it hasn't been tilled in five years so this really was a necessity. It is quite fun to dive, but at the same time a little stressful. Fortunately I was very careful and didn't hit anything.

Thank you. The tilling was a project we were both looking forward to, and relieved to have done. Can't wait to start planting now!

Lol about the neighbors thinking you were up to other things. They probably really weren't expecting cabbage and peppers to be the answer!

I've had a surprising, and disturbing, number of people either ask about or suggest growing hemp. The last fellow who suggested it, I told him,, "Should I develop the ability to digest hemp, I'll keep it in mind." The garden is starting to come it a little already! Bok choy, zucchini, yellow squash, and turnips and greens. It is time I got to making an update video about the Victory Garden.

We discussed it repeatedly, but it doesn't seem practicable this year. We do miss our chickens though.

AWESOMENESS!! Our tiller died when we were working on getting our garden ready.☹ Now we have to borrow one. 😒🙄

Well that sucks, but I know these things happen. WE needed a tiller this size due to the condition of the garden (overgrown) and its size. It sure looks beautiful tilled. We started planting today, but it will take days to plant it all.

It never ceases to amaze me the things you choose to fixate on. I'm familiar with he law; I live here, but it won't do you much good if your stomach in empty.
