Every chain drive motorcycle in the universe has a tight spot. I have never seen a chain/sprocket motorcycle that did not have a tight spot. You have to adjust your chain slack when you have the wheel in a position that the chain is at its thghtest.. The reason there is always always always a tight spot, is the machining of the sprockets… spin your wheels and when you find a tight spot, Mark your sprocket with magic marker or paint or fingernail polish at the 3 o’clock or 12 o’clock position so that you can rotate the wheel, put that spot in the position where the chain is the tightest, and then check your chain slack

Thanks for your comment. My other bikes had tight spots but nothing like the SP1 I had, it just seemed more than normal but thanks for the comment and tips.

There is a KZread vid that I saw recently that chain tight spots are not the chain at all, but the sprokets, likely more so the rear. The sprocket does not wear out evenly, so as the wheel rotates so does the sprocket, which is no longer perfectly circular

Let me know if you fix it….I tried a new cush drive, 2 different chains and 2 different sprockets. In the end, I used a talon sprocket and shimmed it so it was bang on centred on the cush drive before bolting it down. It's still out but not as bad. It drove me crazy, the wheel is running true, the driver sprocket and output shaft is bang on true, the cush drive ran true but the tight spots were always there.

I guess that chains are just made that way as I changed my oem chain because it started to get very start and loose and at point and after installing new kit I can still see tight spots.

not really, I did buy a Talon sprocket which was rounder as they work to tighter tolerances than the Renthal one and I also shimmed the holes slightly on the cush drive to take out some of the egg and it got better but not 100%
