In fiji during a shark dive a tiger shark almost takes off an innocent divers leg.

Better title: Tiger shark explores these strange creatures, tastes a plastic fin, has no interest and leaves. Can we agree that if a tiger shark wants to bite someone's leg off, it bites someone's leg off?

If the other divers hadn't intervened, the shark could've "explored" a bit more of that guy's leg.

Agreed... but I'm waiting for the next comment about sharks 🦈 not really being interested in eating or attacking humans & blah blah blah blah blah blah.... so there's no real sane reason to be afraid or fear them the harmless creatures that they are.... lmao 🤣

Again, and again, and again - these "divers" don't even have knives on them. Not that the knife will help any in this situation. They go "sharkwatching" without ANYTHING to push the shark away with. Look how they use their hands to push it away. At least they have gloves on - that's a progress. All they would need is something like a walking pole - something sturdy enough and pointy but not too sharp. 2-3 feet long. Amazing how stupid ppl can be. One bite from this brute and that leg will NEVER be the same!

Just did that dive last month, June 2023. No exaggeration, there are about 30+ sharks getting fed in front of you. Your head is in a swivel and you’re trying to have faith that the dive masters are watching your backside. Glad I didn’t see this video before the dive!

That looked more like investigation than an attempt to really bite the leg. I think if the shark’s intention was to attack, it would’ve done it at lightening speed, before anyone knew what was happening. Regardless, that diver is lucky.

Perfect example of why some people should not be allowed to dive. Zero situational awareness And because of that someone else has to put themselves at risk and this idiot doesn’t even turn around. Has no business diving with others, if he wants to dive let him go alone.

My understanding is that the divers not laying down are tasked with keeping the others safe. They are terrible at their job.

What an absolute load of rubbish. Watch the fiji feeding videos. They chum the water up really well, but the sharks are interested in the chum, not the people. As long as threy are feed they aren't too much of a risk.. But when they're hungry and given no food, watch out.
