Is this a how not to video? I understand the young man's enthusiasm but Dad was either caught up in it or simply failing. You don't shoot reef fish for several reasons and never take live Whelks. Those days are long gone. Spearfishing, with catch in a bag or a hook and a shark shows up? He wasn't too big and wouldn't try to eat you but he will steal your fish and scare the hell out of you.

Those are not worth shooting. If there where no snapper or grouper around just enjoy the view. I lived in the Keys for 16 years, sometimes you just enjoy the moment. Something worth shooting will be there next time. Be safe have fun.

Your pretty much guaranteed to have a shark encounter of an oil rig 👍

a trick : you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

I will never be the guy holding the bait without a speargun.

It looks like you would have to shoot a whole lot of those fish just to make a snack.

Did you let the Sand Dollar live or did it die because you kept it?

None is spearfishing with oxigen botles it's against the law everywhere, not to mention these small fishes are not worth shooting !
