Wanna remember the worst part? He spent months in prison as a child (stepsister was 16) abuser. This type of accusation can get you "special treatment" from the inmates, though I'm not sure it happened to him. AND, despite the charges dropped, the record of s*x/child abuse will remain to every employer read and judge him for it. Going to Japan was a wise move, actually.

I understand people wanna believe the victim.. But the fact they NEVER give the other party a chance to speak is what kills all attempts to "fix" things in the future... That's why you go to the professionals IMMEDIATELY. As the average person and family, I see, lacks proper objective thinking and reasoning to give benefit of the doubt and remove their emotions and familial ties from the situation to make a concrete decision and read between the blatant lies. So many lives destroyed from false allegations of SA or cheating that could've been staunched the moment it came out if more than one party involved was sane and reasonable

Typically, their minds think of it as the most "logical" choice, seeing no other way out besides that. Maybe, for the father, his logic was that his death would give his son a demented sense of peace. (Or more or less karmic revenge/satisfaction) He was wrong.

@Michael-zi3kk biggest problem with the victims who successfully attempted is that they are often left alone at the wrong moment. My mother recently had to manage her team through a neighboring team members s*icide (worked in the same building but worked for a different agency [civilian contract vs defense force worker]), and one of her employees fully shut down during the day. She knew that this person, who wanted to go home, couldn't be left alone due to emotional reasons, so she called the workers' mother to take them home. This way, that person was monitored. This is the biggest issue. Being alone is deadly for a s*icidal person, as there's nobody who could save you from a potential attempt.

I played the game "Among Us" for about a year, and I realized how easy it can be for a person to be falsely accused, and how important it is to look beyond that initial claim. The other thing I will say is that the families don't seem to understand, this action is not like closing a door that can be easily opened back up. It is more like burning the house down and then expecting it to some how be magically rebuilt just by saying "I'm sorry". It doesn't work that way. Betrayal does serious (possibly catastrophic) damage that takes years (or decades, or entire lifetimes, possibly more than one) to heal. Make a sincere apology, do your best to atone for your mistake (knowing that you probably can't) and then GTF out of the way so the person can heal.

I remember this story, but thanks to KZread been as trash as always it got deleted. Glad to hear from the son and that he managed to leave for a better life. I agree the father sugar coated the story so he could look more sympathetic. What gets to me is that the step daughter got away with murder and the supposed to be inheritance that she might be removed doesn't mean anything. She can get back into the inheritance if the parents are weak enough and she tires them with the enough lies and tears. Also the court system today is just as trash as KZread and Google so you only need a judge that uses the orders in the inheritance as toilet paper to clean his behind and give everything to the step daughter. Honestly OP should try to stay in Japan if his new family has it good over there. Maybe get a good job or open a business. Heck maybe both ... Anyway good to listen to his side and hope that his new post gets a KZread video.

The extent of how horribly he betrayed his own son is equal to his horror of realization of how terribly he screwed up, the even deeper remorse & shame he felt when Redditors backlashed on him, and how his son’s final thrashing broke him into pieces. The son may end up regretting his actions when he’s his father’s age.

But in the end the father, while not being the best father, really wanted to make amends, and as a result offed himself because of grief, it was clear he truly regretted it and wanted to at least have closure T is not in the wrong, far from it, but I think he should’ve at least gave OP a chance to explain himself, because in the end, everyone in this stories lives got ruined (sides Ruku, W Ruku), the parents lost a son, the daughter lost a father, the son lost his family, but in the end gained a new one Please for the love of God, if you have this situation, talk to the person accused, hear their side, because you don’t know if those are false

Still sad about the father committing suicide. Generally people are always told to believe the accuser and he did the wrong thing due to people telling him to do the “right thing”

So I want to point out that even if the step daughter was a lying pos, then first op would still be a shitty parent because they would have missed abuse happening their child for years. Like if it’s going on for years you have to notice at some point, right?

Son's response post is a complete fabrication from someone capitalizing on the popularity of the first post. The author can say "well it's not" all they want. It's obviously not consistent with who the son was supposed to have been. He's supposed to be an ivy league attendee and has the grammar of a 14 year-old hick. eg. "Me and her got married" (She and I got married), confusing "asked" for "told" repeatedly. ie. "My dad told me where I was going" (My dad *asked* me where I was going), and bizarre word switches, like "ushered" when it should've been "uttered". Other details just don't make sense. "Rukas's family didn't want my dad anywhere near me". Uh, no. That doesn't make sense, because later you say that none of them (except Ruka) knew about the false accusations. Why would they have felt so strongly if they had no clue? It's an obvious creative writing exercise, and a pretty crassly cynical one at that. I'm normally the guy defending the possibility of a post being real. And I have no way of stating the part the father wrote is fake. But the sons supposed response definitely is.

@@VRDejaVu Ohh, so you're just a troll who doesn't understand that I wasn't claiming some high level of education and then having my writing be inconsistent with that claim. And also a troll who can't differentiate between a single slip and a consistent set of errors forming a pattern. Congrats, I guess? Nevertheless, error fixed. That's what I get for assuming you were operating in good faith with your first response, though.

@@smallpseudonym2844 Damn, looks like a touched a nerve. I'm sorry if you get called on your BS logic so often that it triggers you this much. Still, it is a you problem. Maybe learn to deal with your own emotions before coming to a public forum. Also, a single slip? Seriously? "But the sons supposed response" Son's "That doesn't make sense, because later" there is no place for a comma there "eg." e.g "ie." i.e, also it doesn't make sense where you used it The 1st sentence of you last comment is supposed to have a "?" at the end for it to be grammatically correct. Does this create enough of a "consistent set of errors forming a pattern." to you?

The son’s pov isn’t even attempting to come across as real. The way it reiterates information provided in the first story every five seconds comes across as desperate for validation. And not the “I’m innocent,” kind, but the “please believe me I need attention,” kind.
