I totally understand why he’d feel that way. A wife and mil should be two women in his corner but one stole from him and the others not only sanctions the abuse but abuses him too. Here comes this lawyer - who happens to be a woman - who is fighting on his behalf and he appreciates that after being treated the way he has by his wife and MIL. When you have two people ganging up it’s nice to have someone in your corner. In his case the two ladies who should be his champions aren’t but he has his lawyer to fight for him.

I think it was more of a tonal issue. The way he just threw it in there where it didn't belong made it feel weird. At first reading it almost sounded like a "wow, women lawyers actually ARE good!" type of demeaning statement, but the rest of his posts don't sound like that, so I don't think it was his intention. It just stuck out badly enough to get people's focus. Maybe like @league-of-shadows said--it's that he's in a headspace where the women in his life were betraying him, and it was interesting to him that a new woman (the lawyer) was helping him fix it. He doesn't seem to have any other family present in his life as support, so if that's truly the only woman actively helping him, it's pretty sad.

Not worse then getting rid of someone or the R-word (youtube is removing some of my comments, hence y I am being dodgy with my words). I would rate the M and R words as either a 9-10 out of 10 on how evil it could be, and the torment one's mind is a close 6-7. Stories like this just cement in my mind I'll never share a bank account with anyone. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I don't care what it is. I have no respect for people who mess with another person's collection of items but also brag about it. It took op ten years to build this collection and I'm really happy op got everything back from the pawn shop. Op should be glad mother in law underestimated the value of those keys. People are reading too much into op's surprise his female attorney was good at her job. I think he was just shocked because most people tend to be bias towards the pov of the wife and always assume the worst of the husband. The proof is in the nasty way people were choosing to attack op over liberating himself from a nasty relationship. Op shouldn't take any blame for what happened to ex mother in law. Sooner or later, someone would have found out and told the authorities her house was an uninhabitable biohazardous environment. It's the daughters fault for letting her mom live in filth knowing she had a weak heart.

While many say two-wrongs dont make a right or an eye for an eye makes the world blind, such actions are needed to teach humility and the consequences of actions. Technically what he did was more of a right then a wrong! The house was a potential fire-hazard. If he didnt make that call, then the MIL would have caused more grief and eventually death/injury to several nearby neighbors.

Bro warned the authorities of a high risk of fire that could have wiped out the whole neighborhood and caused casualties in the process. If anything, the call saved lives.

Ngl you went to far, yes seating is wrong but to kill someone bc of it is way to far. I get the lady was crazy but that doesn’t mean she’s deserved to die she needed series help.

Op didn't kill her, her expectations did that. She has a weak heart and still choose to attack her daughter. At least now the ex is free from the witch
