This was a product of a workshop at film school in my first semester, with a 5-student team and peanuts in funds. I recognize that the quality/caliber is low, but I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love it has received on KZread. Sending a big hug to each and every one of you. Ax

Trying to maintain a relationship with someone that is perpetually insecure can be really exhausting and untimately not worth the constant upset.

Agreed. I believe is not worth the effort to make it work. If there's trust in that relationship.🤷♂️

It’s also exhausting to be with that person that looks for constant validation through sex with other men. I lost my first love to AIDS because of that need.

You got this right. I mean the first guy apologised for being too sensitive; but what about the other guy? Shouldn't he apologise for being inconsiderate, irrational, and for hurting his boyfriend??! In fact he's the one who should initiate.

Imperfect people and unequal emotions ... Love can be a balancing act. But with time, patience and dedication, it can be the greatest story ever told. Like dancing to Debussy! This was delightful. ❤
I enjoyed this film, my boy friend was the same way, he never did any cheating except being with his friends who thought je was better than sliced bread, it took a lot of patience and time, plus a big cup of communication that got us through it, I had to understand his past as he understood mine, we are two works in progress, love makes a lot of allowances 😊
Beautiful story, beautiful acting and beautiful choice of men for the main characters. And a happy ending as a cherry on the cake! Absolutely lovely :)
Thank you, Alex. Tired of tragic gay stories. Yours is a poem. Once again, thank you.

The muscle guy simply had lunch with someone. The insecure guy apologized because it was his insecurity that triggered the fight. He also took several cheap shots unprovoked. Your insecurity is your responsibility first and foremost because you communicate fear/concern without being a dick lol

I have really good friend who’s dating a guy he knew from college. As soon as he introduce him to me, I sensed a really negative vibe from him and I told my friend to be careful. That guy would do anything to get attention from men and talking about attention seeker whore. My friend could see that and he even saw messages on his phone flirting back and forth with other guys but still he couldn’t stop loving that jerk. I could say nothing and it killed me inside because I didnt want to see my friend getting hurt and most importantly, being treated like a muppet ☹️

It happens. So many are not capable of a long-term honest loving relationship. It's just how so many gay men are. Nothing you do about it except be the person that you want to attract and the right person will come into your life.
All I have to say is: the guy would have been dancing by himself in the final scene because that's how I would have validated him.
Beautifully done and so well acted, you could believe in the characters.
I love the Clair de lune at the end of this, the song just makes the moment so special
Can't go wrong with Claire de Lune playing in the background. Nice, warm and familiar. I'll even watch it again.

BRAVO! Thank You! Every relationship at some point will be challenged. This depiction portrayed a "big" one. Such trust is all too easy to give; but very difficult to earn. The uglier little brother of Jealousy is named Suspicion.
I spent 3 years with a man who enjoyed being admired by others for his perfect looks, and he wouldn't bother telling me why occasionally he was an hour or two late from work. It was always my problem that I couldn't trust him, he said. I thought I trusted him because when other couples would come over for dinner or drinks and occasionally suggest a 4 way or a switch, he would act genuinely horrified and try to get them to go home. Eventually my jealousy got the best of me because he never really tried to put me at ease. And so I ended it. Nowadays I look for not so perfect looking partners.

One could write and could certainly read volumes of work on being "too good looking". I have read that it was sometimes unfortunate to be beautiful at certain times in history. It could guarantee you were made into a sex slave which everyone knows has a limited lifespan.

I have lived this with a boyfriend needless to say we are not together now...I was not insecure nor did I not trust him, however when he acted out with me seeing ..I felt disrespected and somehow not enough, we discussed nothing changed ..I felt myself changing not to my liking so I got out of there with head held high.😁✌

Your self respect mattered to you because your ex didn't respect or care about you nor himself. But having the courage to walk away and not be taken in by him speaks volumes about who you are and what you expect from others. I hope you do find the "right" one that you want.....

I finally left ...he was wrecking me.....he always acted independant.....since ive left him hes lost. I knew who he really was....more than he did. Sad part is i still think of him.....i refuse to think of him emotionally....only rational.

Hi guys
Very well done ! and the music, bravo
With one partner continuously placing themselves in a potential emotional or sexually compromising scenario does not make a healthy relationship. Jealousy can be unjustified and unreasonable, but it can also be equally justified as it is in this case. Nick is a one-step-from-cheating partner, and it does not take much for that one step to happen...to much alcohol, a couple's argument, a wrong-place-at-the-wrong-time situation. Nick needs to stay away from guys who want his body; because eventually one will get it. I am so sick of hearing, "...i'm not perfect." yes, I get that. But that is not an excuse to justify stupid or bad behavior. A man who needs that kind of validation, can't be faithful to one guy.

This is kinda perfect ❤
Beautiful movie very moving and very real issue for gay guys today...enjoyed it.
Do we tell the truth when we are perched on a perilous ledge because the effort to stay balanced and fear of failing occupies our minds so much we can’t fabricate at the same time? The scene at the beach roughly halfway through Alex Lampsos’ short gay film is a kind of central pivot to the relationship between Nick and Charlie where truths that both men can agree on are aired in the open light of day. Charlie calls Nick “perfect”; Bryan calls Nick “princess”. Swirling somewhere around these divergent impressions of Nick, Charlie tries to navigate and negotiate their relationship. If “Thylacine” has a message, it would appear to be that couples should keep talking to each other and be prepared for a lot of accepting about each other.

Great point. The truth can be very scary. I think finding someone you can tell your truth to and not only have them accept your truth but more importantly, appreciate you for it, is the secret to having your perfect partner.
That was a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

Beautiful.
That was really good.
Love only happens in movies. Or I'm just not looking in the right place. But when I keep getting hurt,I don't want to play the game anymore.
I Love The Musical Score.
Nicely done film. Relationships can be so exhausting. In my first relationship I was with a control freak, so glad it ended, even though it was difficult to end. And its true, why do so many gay men seem to have had difficult relationships with their fathers (out or not).
I saw myself to the guy. Im very sensitive but not being selfish, i just dont want my guy intertaining another guy because i felt jealous. But in the end i leave him because i dont want to be sensitive forever. And just dont want to hurt my feelings again and again. Great short movies, hope they will make it full movie. Happy ending
Sweet movie
Somebody can to share me the guion (dialog) of this video?.. :) please,
